The
@49ers
have offered the
@Packers
the 3rd overall pick in this year's draft, plus other picks and a number of players from their current roster including Garoppolo
for Aaron Rodgers.
The Packers turned them down.

Worth the shot by SF, I give them credit for trying it. Assuming GB has the confidence in Love that they've said they had, it might have been worth considering, and Garaoppolo could still be flipped for more picks. I would've considered it. Aaron's not happy there and will likely leave in FA when he has the chance. They drafted Love for a reason.

GB could draft Pitts or Sewell at #3...trade Jimmy for another 2nd or 3rd, get a solid #2 WR behind Adams with their own pick...build up the defense...they could make some massive upgrades and move on to the Love era at the same time.

Holding onto Rodgers at all costs, who wants out, while they've drafted his replacement already, isn't a solid plan. They're just letting Love rot on the bench.

They may not get a better offer than that, it was pretty huge.

Eagles looking for trade-up partner to get Surtain, after trading to move down.

These are the same geniuses who took Jalen Reagor over Justin Jefferson last year.

Does this mean they are not as comfortable with QBs 3-5 as they have let on?

This is a bad look for the 49ers...I mean, a Vinny bad look. You don’t go all the way to 3 only then to pivot. This is an org not working together

If you have the chance to shoot the moon you take it. What's the harm in making an offer for one of the top QBs in the game?

Tim Tebow recently reached out to the Jaguars and requested a tryout at the tight end position, per sources, a move many believe would have extended his NFL career had he made the transition earlier. He recently worked out with the Jaguars’ TE coach. No decision has been made.

U have to admire the dudes hustle

He should have tried that 5 years ago instead of trying to play baseball.

Reality set in that he'd be playing for the Mets.

Made it all the way to AAA...he puts the work in.

He's in incredible shape, he can step in at TE in the NFL.

Got to see him play a AA game in Harrisburg, had a great game and made the other baseball players look like dwarves. The size of his legs was insane even from the stands.

I wouldn't bet against him.

He's 33 and trying to make a position switch? I'd take the bet against him if I were betting. If his name was Joe Smith he'd be lucky to get a workout with a team.

Aaron Rodgers has told the Packers he does not want to return.

Per Schefty:

"Reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers is so disgruntled with the Green Bay Packers that he has told some within the organization that he does not want to return to the team, league and team sources told ESPN on Thursday."

Urban Meyer is his best chance.

Look how well Logan Thomas worked out...similar size, skillset and results as QB.

Heck bring him here for a look. Our system might just be good for former QBs turned TE.
