That's kinda why I think a move to the slot might be worth a look as a last attempt...

Maybe separation from the team would be better.

One more stat for the day.

Smith in the RZ?

16 - 29

6 tds - 0 Ints.

104.2 rating.

The offense scored 14 against a terrible defense. That is all I care about.

Agreed, but I don't think our front 4 had an awesome game either...

Now I was really amazed by how poorly Mason Foster and Zach Brown played... These 2 guys were having a tremendous season so far, but on Sunday they completely disappeared, late to their spots and missing their gaps all game long...

This must be why Moses got flagged for yelling at an official right after Scherff went down.

I believe this happened at different play, before Scherff got hurt.

Re: Postgame Falcons

It wasn't really a cheap shot, they were in a tussle after the play and he was thrown to the ground , happened far away from the play so I'm thinking the refs just didn't see it.

Plus this from Keim at that time, this explains why Reed sat on the bench. Finlay and Keim reported it:

Reed is pissed. looked like he was yelling at some players on the Falcons, upset about the play. moses upset too. Gets flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct after the play.

So why would Finlay report it as a cheap shot when he was at the game?

Just before the camera closes in on PR, you can see Scherff gets thrown to the ground (left bottom corner of your screen).

The issue I have is this: if nothing more happened, cheap shot is an over statement, and if something more happened, why didn't the whole OL get into it with the culprit instead of whining at the officials ?

This is what Finlay wrote at the time on Twitter:

Scherff got cheap shotted too
