I think that ship sailed when the team worked something out with the league to allow him to play, despite DH putting himself at risk of being exposed to COVID.

As much as I hate having his sorry ass count against the cap, I'd rather not have a distraction of the team fighting for money from his contract.

Re: Haskins released

Good for Ron. IMO his career is over. He isn't NFL QB material. He may get a shot at the XFL just cause he was a 1st rounder. He doesn't have the talent to play QB in the NFL.

If it took him 2 years to learn lessons (and it still looks like he didn't learn anything) I doubt he gets a second chance. He's shown no sign of advancing since week 1 in camp last year. Yet another OSU QB that can't make it as a pro.

He did all that for fame, the dude just doesn’t get it. Brett Favre would always say how being a starting QB in the NFL is not just a job, it’s literally your life. Haskins only cares about the flash not the grind

Fucking love it.

I agree 100%. This is a message to the fans as well. Ron is telling us all “this is not the same old Washington Franchise “

The fact that a guy signed off the street 3 weeks ago showed better knowledge of the offense than him was just pathetic. I know that Heinicke has worked with Scott Turner before, but still, no excuse for DH to still be so limited at this point in year 2.

A someone said, it's about time. It is unfortunate that he wasted his opportunity. In one sense, I wish him well. Just not with Washington.

How many more times does Dan Snyder need to embarrass himself before he realizes the mess he creates when he sticks his finger in something he knows nothing about.

On that 4&2 Haskins had both Thomas and Sims sitting wide open underneath, he decided to run.. all of the “draft gurus” said he was so smart at OSU.. well clearly that was all on the coaching and not Haskins.

Kudos to Jay Gruden for seeing it way before anyone else did
