I just hope that the Redskins just plaster the giants so that a week's worth of "ohh, this is not a contest, the Giants will win"...or "bottom line, Giants will win this game" will go down the drain. I feel as though we will surprise a lot of people this year and I hope it starts here.

Agreed. It would be a great confidence builder if we can look back at beating the Giants in their house over the rest of the season.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Gameday thread, Opener 2009

I was watching the NFL network this morning and Joe Thiesman and two other commentators were making there game picks. Joe picked the skins to beat the Giants and they almost laughed him off the set. I have got to hand it to Joe, he has become a real Redskins loyalist. I used to think of him as somewhat bitter at the Redskins. It seems that he has become another Larry Michael. Which is good with all the haters out there.

He said they would lose, because of the lack of a number one reciever. I think they will lose because of our great D-line play. I also think that we are going to see Mike Wiliiams come in as a tigh End in the running game that will over power Osi and Mathis. They will have to run away from Tuck, he is an animal.

That is good news, but wish it was both their Defensive Ends. O-Line must do a semi-decent job of pass protection but more important open holes for Portis to run. Their D line is pretty nasty.

Yes, they where saying there starting CB's were out last pm. This is a big opportunity for JC and the WR's to attack down field. Lets hope we can stand strong up front.

Same here. I bet AH is just chompin' at the bit to get this game going. After all the talk about whether he would slow down after getting the money, is it a challenge playing against a back as big as Jacobs... He plays mean anyway, but I have a feeling after all the talk and the long layoff, he's pumped to just knock the s**t out of somebody. It's good to see some youngblood on this team. I think Orakpo, Jarmon, Kelly, Mitchell.. etc. will bring a lot of enthusiasm to the team. AH and the rest of these newer guys don't care who the Giants are, they just want to go out and win. Last year doesn't matter. As CRedskinsRule says, "It's time to be who we think we are." HTTR!!!
