I am shocked that drive up bank windows are common place in Virginia. California where I came from closed all those down decades ago and replaced them with drive up ATMs. I only go in the bank when I need an amount of cash where $20 bills are inconvenient. Why can't the ATMs give out $100 bills?

Depends on the atm I guess. I have Chase out here and I can get 100s from the atm.

Because most hookers in Va are under $100 and they usually don't have change.

My office is still open.

Got a call at 10:30 last night that the state has closed my office and I will be informed later how my pay will be handled.

We have PNC and they have both.

Re: Coronavirus (non political)

I wonder when the mass hysteria at the chain supermarkets will die down. When I drive by looks like the Food Lions still have 4 times the normal crowds. I used to have an advantage of being able to avoid the masses as I work from home and can pick and choose my hours. That is gone now with everyone staying home.

I might just shop at the local mom & pop stores, looks like they aren't much more than the normal, beer, soda and cigarette customers. They still have good stock other than toilet paper and paper towels. That will add shopping time as I would probably have to hit up 3-4 of them to get everything I need. Only one has a good produce selection and it is 20 miles away.

Re: Coronavirus (non political)

Everyone who was eating in the cafeteria at work, or at food trucks, or at little spots near the office now is having to hit the supermarket deli for lunch stuff. The new normal is definitely heavier grocery store foot traffic. I just hope everyone chills on the paper products soon because that shit is just irrational.

What shut those things down, voluntary or government action?

Re: Coronavirus (non political)

Last night at 6 pm I was able to find chicken breasts, ground beef and milk which I was not able to find on Sunday or Friday.

TP is nowhere to be found. I still have a decent amount to last me maybe 10 days but its nowhere. I could have bought a few rolls on Saturday at Home Depot but thought I had enough. Now I wish I had picked some up.

Neither. If nobody's at the office, and they're all home, then they're simply not there to get their lunch where they normally would.

Ok, I thought office buildings closed their cafeterias and the health department shut down the food trucks.

Re: Coronavirus (non political)

Italy is a disaster
Yesterday 345 new deaths
Today 475

Yesterday 3526 new cases
Today 4207

They have 45,000 fewer cases then China, but the same basic number of deaths (CH-3237 to IT-2978)

Italy's cases are 591 per 1million population
the US cases right now are 23 per 1million.

Granted the US cases per million will jump in the next week as the test kits get into NYC and other outbreak sites. But Italy's is out of control even in relationship to Spain(298), Germany (143), France(140), S Korea (164)

I think best practice goes to Germany right now with 28 deaths but only 2 serious/critical out of 11,859 active cases.
