Brian Mitchell Released

The Giants released Brian Mitchell today.

He's been with the Skins, Eagles and Giants. So obviously his next stop should be the Cowboys, right?

BMitch!

BMitch! The only Redskin I've ever met. Small man with a big heart, and even bigger arms! Sorry he got old, but we all do!

Gibbs should pick him back up so that he can retire a Redskin. Just sign cheap and retire...I know he left on bad terms but maybe the hard feelings will go away now that the organization is going back to its old school ways

Beg, I'm with you on this one. He was done wrong by the Redskins, here's a chance to make it right. I hope they do, it'll be a sign that the old classiness is back.

With Danny Snyder still around, I don't see Mitchell running back to Washington to retire as a Redskin. It just doesn't sound like Brian's style. He'd probably sooner sign in Dallas to retire as a Cowboy just for spite.

If anyone could get Mitchell to mend things between him and Snyder, it would be Joe Gibbs. If he still wants to play, we don't have a need for him (we have a younger version in Morton), but if he decides to retire, it would be very nice if he did it as a Redskin.

Is he the only current NFL player that played for Gibbs? Okay, I just remembered that the Buc's McCardell was an inactive rookie when we won the SB last, but who else is there?
