Re: Jay Gruden fired

Ok,while I'm glad he's gone it doesn't really change anything,Bruce is still calling the shots and he put his buddy Callihan in as interim coach while isn't gonna change much, now on the other hand MC Connell is gonna run the offense so maybe they will score a few more points, but until Danny stops being -starstruck and actually hires-FOOTBALL PEOPLE then we're gonna have the same results...DANNY-WAKE THE FUCK UP!!!

Re: Jay Gruden fired

I think Jay deserves respect for what he was able to accomplish here in spite of Bruce and Dan and all of the dysfunction year after year.

Only coach to ever get extended by Snyder, and also the only coach during Snyder's tenure to have back to back winning seasons.

It was clear that his time had run his course here, but if we are honest with ourselves, Jay's squad was always competitive even despite all of the injuries, it was only this year that we were truly abysmally bad under Jay's coaching..

he is a good OC, and will get a job soon.

Pass on Sweeney, SI wrote an article that painted his culture at Clemson as recruiting kids who are willing to accept JC as their lord and savior. Not sure that style would work in a pro locker room.

They had him come in at 5am to get fired. That is pathetic.
It was the final step in the Allen playbook. They already tarnished his name in the media, now they're probably hoping he'll lash out so they can point the blame at him some more.

Meanwhile Allen will hold a press conference at 1 pm to announce Dan has trusted him with leading the charge to find a new HC, and he promises not to fail this time.

The source knows Snyder well.

I'm gonna take a wild guess, Bruce Allen is running the search for a new HC.

This isn’t an issue and most football players are black athletes from the south raised in a religious household...I don’t think it’s that big of an issue. Being religious isn’t a negative imo

I'm just not sure you can build a team culture that revolves around faith in a pro locker room. There are a ton of guys playing pro football for different reasons. Money and fame being one of them.

If he was a coach in the mold of Gibbs I wouldn't mind, Gibbs lead by example. Not sure Swinney does the same.

Edit: Here's the article by SI. Faith is the foundation of Clemson's program.

Re: Jay Gruden fired

It's kind of confusing. It starts as a shot at Jay and then talks about media games which are the FO's wheel house. What media games has Jay played?

Well he didn't leak that video. That was 100% Redskins front office. How does that get out a couple days before he's fired?
