Re: Punch's Post-Game Thread

I should know better than to come in here with the knee-jerk reaction yet here I am.

Haskins is terrible, if it isn't obvious. All the progress he made at the end of last year has been wiped out. He just looks uncomfortable, like he's trying to learn how to play qb for the first time. Trying to do too much. The staring down guys thing - idk how it became an issue this week but if he keeps that up his leash will disappear.

At the same time we have to give him at least half the year if not the entire year to at least try and show some progress. If Allen was the answer, we wouldn't even have to ask this question. Rivera knows what he has in Allen.

Rivera - I just feel like he's treating these first 4 games like preseason since we didn't have one. It's why he keeps swapping out young guys and not calling timeouts at the end of the game. He already knows the weak spots on this team and I feel like he's just looking for progress. If he's still giving up when we're down by 11 in the second half of the season then I'll be seriously concerned. But for now I feel he's using these games to get a feel for the team. Or maybe the cancer treatments are affecting his judgement? Not sure but he absolutely has a long leash, certainly longer than Haskins. You guys giving up on him 3 games in are taking the easy route.

Re: Punch's Post-Game Thread

Sad part is that was a game we should have won, looking at the schedule , I’d say we win 3 more games tops

Re: Punch's Post-Game Thread

Haskins' accuracy is terrible.

Bench him. He isn't the guy.

Gah, I hope this isn't the RGIII situation all over again where everybody knows but Dan. (Really high likelihood, RR is playing Haskins to convince Dan of the situation, just like Mike and Jay did with Robert.)

If Haskin's gives the team the best chance to win this is going to be a throw away year.

They should have went after Fitzmagic or Nick Foles or some journeyman who can throw on schedule and actually hit receivers.

I can't wait to see which QB Dan drafts next.

Re: Punch's Post-Game Thread

I just want to know what is the obsession with forcing the ball at times to Logan Thomas like he is prime Rob Gronkowski.

Honestly he’s been pretty good for us, he should have had a td today if it wasn’t for a horrible pass

4 for 31
4 for 26
4 for 37

not exactly "pretty good" and his lone TD was a blown coverage. Under no circumstance should he be leading the team in targets

Re: Punch's Post-Game Thread

Haskins is the worst starting QB in the league ... IF RR does not yank him then RR is not the answer either ... it will tell us that ole Danny boy still is making football decisions..

Re: Punch's Post-Game Thread

I think Meks just meant that cancer and coaching are unrelated....like just because he is sick doesn’t mean you give him a pass. If he is healthy enough to be there than he is healthy enough to call a timeout. I hope that is what he meant. If it is than I totally agree. Anyway The way it came across sounded more cold hearted than I think he meant it....

I do want to see us try and get Gibson more in a rhythm with more carries, it seems like every time he starts to get a groove, he gets no more carries the rest of the way.
