Re: Bears Pre-Game Thread
Did you even see what Howell did against Philly? I don't know what you want from a QB. What QB would make you happy?

Re: Bears Pre-Game Thread
I want it too but nothing ever comes easy for this team.
I expect a struggle. Don't forget the Bears started hot last week before falling apart in the second half. They're better than their record suggests.

Re: Bears Pre-Game Thread
I think we're probably better than the record suggests as well, and I think that point will be proven tonight.

Re: Bears Pre-Game Thread
The Bears have no pass rush at all.. We should score 28-30 tonight and win by 10 at least

Re: Bears Pre-Game Thread
Are you just trying to troll everyone?? How can you say this after a couple starts? Howell has way better arm talent, better mobility and is more accurate. I think you need to give him a full season and then fairly judge him. But to say he's Grossman after 5 starts?? smh...

Re: Bears Pre-Game Thread
Didn't the Bears rush for like 200 yards last year? This defense never shuts down running QB's. They need a get right game real bad.
The national media seems get off on the fact that we have 4 first rounders on the d-line. Do they ever watch our games? This is an average group. They rarely dominate as a group. Usually it's one or two guys that'll have a great game. But when are they going to dominate as a group? When are they going to get 9 sacks - 10 sacks? |

Re: Bears Pre-Game Thread
I’ve seen enough of Howell after 5 games, especially bouncing back against a top 3 D and almost winning.By the way, Caleb Williams is the same size as Howell.

Re: Bears Pre-Game Thread
It is weird. This is the type of game where they should totally dominate. Just like the Bills did to us. Maybe we get that kind of performance tonight.

Re: Bears Pre-Game Thread
Young had a good game, he’s huge!! If he gets together (which he is) he can be a wrecking ball.

Re: Bears Pre-Game Thread
We “should” win by 20. I just have this terrible feeling our vaunted front four is going to be pedestrian again and Justin Fields is going to look like an NFL quarterback for the first time. Herbert is going to look like Walter Payton. Moore is going to go full Jerry Rice. Our o line is going to make their D look like the 85 Bears.
Like Chico said, I want complete domination. This is a home game. This is year 4 under Ron. They are the worst team in football. Yet I am nervous. I should not be nervous. If this team is actually better than last year we should beat the snot out of them. Forbes needs to worry about not giving up huge plays instead of making a huge play. |

They have had below average to terrible linebackers, mediocre secondary, and a mediocre DC their entire time here. Plus Chase has missed so much time. I pray that we fix those areas while these guys are in their prime so we can see them at their full capabilities. I think the yards and points we give up because of our weaknesses on D really overshadow what they are doing instead of highlighting it. |
