I understand it's hard to spend 25M+ on two corner backs, but I hate it when guys we drafted ball out and we let them go.

If Moreau is the real deal, good.
Maybe a veteran guy like DRC on a 2 years deal helping develop his replacement (that we would draft) is a smart solution...

I just want the Skins to target playmakers at WR and at the very least one of the following positions: DT/RB/LG.

No McClainification of this roster anymore!

Re: Redskins free agent signings 2018

With Anthony Hitchens getting $9M per year from the Chiefs, the Redskins would be right to let Zach Brown go. That price is too high for a MLB, unless it's Keuchley. I'd rather see them pump cap resources into the defensive line which would take pressure off the MLB spot. If I'm them, I wait patiently deep into free agency and snatch up the leftovers at MLB. I wouldn't be as patient at the DL spot, I'd pay what it takes to get one of the big guns.

He would, if you can get his price down to a palatable spot. I'm shocked what Hitchens is getting from KC.

Of course I'm also shocked at what they're paying for Sammy Watkins. The Chiefs don't seem to GAF about the cost at the moment.

They want to win now, and believe Mahomes is the guy that can take them to the SB, It is a huge gamble.

Agreed.

There are a ton of really good MLBs available in FA this year. Ones than should cover better than Brown too.
Brown should have been signed long term last year, but shouldn't be signed at 10M/y.

I'm also excited to see Zach Vigil get in the mix behind a healthy and improved DL.

Bowman would be a great replacement

Good post Schneed! I'm certainly disappointed we're not retaining Brown, but we can't afford to pump that much money into that position.

Re: Redskins free agent signings 2018

Expectation around the league from multiple personnel execs is that former #Seahawks WR Paul Richardson will wind up signing a deal later this week w/ the #Redskins.

Coming out of the combine, Redskins were looking to add a "speed" WR to line up on the other side of Josh Doctson

Looks like it could be a done deal

I personnaly wouldn't mind paying a signal caller of the defense 10M+.
I even think ILB is a quite underpaid position, given how you must know everybody's assignment on every play and have to react differently to every offensive formation (while a corner doesn't have to know if the DLs are stunting or not...).

But to earn that you have to be able to defend the run AND the pass! Brown hasn't shown he can do both. I'm sure he could though.
Honestly I do hope we are patient... and maybe we end up resigning Brown at 8M.

5 years 40 million. Which is almost the same deal we have Garconin 2012

Mike Garafalo on Twitter:

Redskins are expected to sign WR Paul Richardson to a five-year, $40 million deal with $20 million in guarantees, sources say.

Sorely needed. Price is acceptable to me. Now Reed and Doctson will actually have some room underneath. There was only one DeSean Jackson but this guy threatens the defense in the same way - if he's on the field they have to honor his speed.

Happy to have P Rich, he's a good number 2. Now Crowder can excel in the slot again and hopefully Doc makes that step
