So PFT's twitter account posted that the "leak" regarding Schaffer being fired is Schafer himself. He was told he was out on Monday. This is all very confusing.

That does sound like the team trying to find the leaks then being shocked that it was actually Schafer leaking. Like they expected it to be a staffer of Schafer and instead Schafer is going to the media.
