I don't really care what these two are doing. I don't care if they're having a homosexual relationship and keeping it behind closed doors. JUST GET A DEAL DONE!

Re: De Smith Asks Goodell To Run Away to Florida With Him

I feel like we will have some kind of a serious announcement after the July 4th weekend. At that point you are around 2 1/2 weeks away from training camps and there is still going to have to be some sort of Free Agent period before that. I bet they are pretty close on most things and they just need to work out some finer points. No one really knows because they can't talk about it, but seeing Goodell and Smith together tells me a plan is in place.

Can't lock in till there's no lockout.

Re: De Smith Asks Goodell To Run Away to Florida With Him

best reason to hope: De Smith didn't repeat his U of Md commencement speech while Goodell was sitting next to him.

on the other hand --

our rookie NT, who I guess is at the symposium said:

TruckNeild Chris Neild
..sounds like a temp job is possibly in my future #endthelockout
5 minutes ago

That doesn't make it sound like the overall tone was upbeat.

G: Well you see we were on the plane together, and I felt a connection between us just starting to grow.

Herm's Message To Rookies - ESPN Video - ESPN

Every time I see Herm, I get a little nervous. He looks like he could still play and he looks like he's about to run you over. He's one bad mofo

Solid advice from someone who has been there.

Sadly, there were probably a dozen attendees who were dozing off or were too busy texting their friends to get the message here. Oh well...

I became a huge fan of Herm when he was coaching for KC and they did Hard Knocks. Can't believe he's not in someone's organization.

Re: De Smith Asks Goodell To Run Away to Florida With Him

Didnt want to start a new thread so im heaed up stream, just saw this and thought there was something wrong with it, who can find the discrepency???/

"If there were no such thing as playoffs or Super Bowls, then Marty Schottenheimer would be the greatest coach in the history of football, thanks to his amazing 200 career wins and just 126 loses and one tie.

However, once Schottenheimer's teams reached the post-season, they failed so miserable on such a regular basis. Schottenheimer's post-season record stands at an aboslute emabrassing 5-13.

Schottenheimer coached the Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs, Washington Redskins and the San Diego Chargers all to playoff apperances, but none of them were good enough to win a Super Bowl.

Marty Schottenheimer is the biggest choke artist in NFL history. "

If you can't spot it, you probably don't belong on this board

^ I'm too lazy to go look but I was going to say the writer is wrong about the Redskins making the playoffs. He says all these teams made the playoffs and I didn't think we did at 8-8.

And if i remmember correctly the skins and cowgirls were both 0-4 going into a monday night game in whinch they won then Marty ball took off and the skins reeled off 5 straight and then got beat by Dallas again and ended 8-8 but i may be wayyy off.

NFLPA boss DeMaurice Smith to players: No agreement in near future - NFL News | FOX Sports on MSN

I think there are few sources better than Jay Glazer, but I don't know how accurate this is. I think you're going to get a lot of we're close, we're not close over the next few days. There will be a lot of lying, for lack of a better term.
