Agreed, but the Roy Williams trade was basically the Herschel Walker Trade II.

Funny tweet from Ross Tucker:

"Caller 'Andrew from DC' on Roy Williams "RingGate": 1) He mails it in every Sunday 2) If she gave ring back he'd drop it."

I don't think so, Williams had a decent year last year & is pretty good. Yeah, they gave up too much for him but he actually was somewhat of a leader on that team it seemed, one of the few stand up guys they have. AH didn't cost picks but Danny has paid him a ton of $ for little return & he's become a team problem.

Do you really think they got bang for their buck for him?

They gave up a 1st, 3rd, and 6th round picks, and gave him $26M guranteed. Now let's look at his production:

2008: 19-198-1
2009: 38-596-7
2010: 37-530-5

I'm sorry, but for the picks alone they got majorily boned on that deal. At least with Haynesworth all we did was give up $$.

He's pretty good? Decent year? Come on.

It's just money, Danny's money. The only similar situation that we have had recently has been the McNabb trade, but even then we didn't give up a first rounder. At the end of the day, I consider the McNabb trade a bigger disaster for the Redskins than Haynesworth. I think it is pretty big for a rebuilding team to lose their 2nd round pick for a QB that didn't even finish out the season.

Yeah but let's remember we recouped a lot of picks back in the draft.

So where in the past we just gave away picks like candy, at least now we wheel and deal and get picks in return to ease the damage a bit.

We recouped draft picks this year, but if I remember correctly the second rounder we lost for McNabb was from the 2010 draft.

I dont care the about the picks and things....bottomline Dez Bryant and Roy Williams are flat out clowns. These dumbasses and their jewlery issues are an embarrassment to themselves and the entire cowgurls organization.

They gave up a lot, I mentioned that, honestly didn't remember that he got that much $, that's way too much. Now that I look at RW's bonus $ I see your point.

But I do stand by saying he had a decent year in 2010. They have to spread the ball around to Austin, Bryant & Witten, plus they had good rbs. No, his #s aren't on par w/what they gave up, but he came around & played alright after a poor start his first year in dallas.

Haynesworth played well in 09 when he was in games, but that's likely all we got out of him. Maybe he was needed as a symbol of how things were changing & in the future we'll see that Shanny used it to his advantage. I hope so, otherwise there's nothing much good we can expect from AH.

It's funny that he played "decently" the year after Dallas spent a first-rounder to get Dez Bryant (who pretty much was drafted b/c RW tanked).

I hope he gets the ring back. It's the only way that a Cowboy could get a ring.

The Walker trade was the one that landed Dallas all those draft picks that Jimmy Johnson parlayed into 3 Super Bowls.

I believe you may be referring to the Joey Galloway trade, which is only a notch above this one with respect to all-time-bone-headed-trades.

You know what, I had forgotten the Galloway trade.
