Those are the three I am expecting to throw the ball for us next season, and I give the edge to Tannehill.
Most mock drafts have the Browns taking Trent Richardson the explosive running back from Alabama. The Cleveland front office hasn't given up on Colt McCoy. They mentioned bringing in competition in the offseason for the QB position. It doesn't mean that they will draft Robert Griffin. Based on other teams needs, there's a good chance that Griffin will be available when the Redskins pick at #6.

Even if the Redskins wanted to trade up, Minnesota would be better suited to partner with than the Rams.

I certainly don't see why there would be any "buzz" about him. He hasn't done anything as a pro. I'm not sure if he's a UFA or a not, but if he isn't, I can't imagine his asking price would be anything more than a 6th rounder, if that.

Not at all. There are a lot of people in the league who think he has as much, if not more, potential as Flynn. And he'd come at a much cheaper price.

Cleveland could trade up for Luck too leaving Griffin at 6. I'm not so sure they would go QB either though.

Maybe. The main obstacles it seems right now are the Seahawks and the Dolphins (though I think the Seahawks will sign Flynn and the Dolphins have been linked to Flynn, Orton, and even Manning). With us it was essentially 3 teams battling over 2 QBs (Landry and Tannehill) per the scuttlebutt. With us having the upper hand of course (unfortunately).

Now it's just a battle for Tannehill and a team like the Dolphins may trade up for Tannehill with the Bucs at 5. Though I don't really see that happening.

I'll take Flynn over Hoyer, based on production when he plays. I'll draft a QB before I sign for one in FA though.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search

Not defending him or vouching for him, but Hoyer hasn't really had the opportunities Flynn has had.

But look Hoyer is not being discussed to be brought in as the guy here. Neither is Josh Johnson or even Jimmy Clausen. Those are all essentially 2012 Rex/Beck replacements. Meaning backups...who may be pressed into starting duty.

I'm trying to get some more info...but it's been kind of like pulling teeth right now

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search

ill ask this again...why do people think hoyer is anything? he was an unhyped prospect out of college who has hardly played in the nfl. why does anyone think he can be a starting qb? has he been warming the bench well or something? dont get it.

I don't know. I've hardly seen him play. Just reporting what I've heard.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search

Hoyer would be a good signing along w a rookie IMO, but just Hoyer and say Grossman... IDK

I'm curious as to the level these QB discussions reach within the organization? are these just scouts just spitballing ideas or are these reports coming from meetings involving both shanahan and Allen?

This part of the draft process is so secret yet so interesting to me. I'm just trying to get an understanding of how it works.
