I also think it's ridiculous Dwayne wasn't made the backup. He would have given us a fighting chance.
Exactly. So again we are blowing the QB position on how to handle “the move on” situation. Instead of trying to move him for maximum value, we have leaked stories to destroy his character and we will get nothing.

Bruce is gone, yet we are doing the samething organization-wise.

So fucking stupid

Giants 27-WFT 17 oh I'm gonna be watching every snap oh and that Jones kid in New York is starting to get confidence, them dropping 34 on the Boyz was no accident I think the kid in the long run will be better than Eli while we on the other hand have nothing at QB....we could activate Joe T with Sonny at backup and be better off.. this season is a wash!!

The Smith story was nice but he's just not good enough anymore. I know it wont happen but I wish there was some way they could figure out how to make DH the backup. The only way they will be able to get anything for him is if they boost his trade value and sitting him out the rest of the year doesn't do that.

As my post above says I also think DH should be the backup. The only reason I can think that he wont be is because RR sees him as a potential locker room cancer that if allowed to return to the locker room will make a bad situation even worse.

Smith was put in a terrible spot. IDK if he can play anymore or not but can't judge him off of that situation. No one would have played well under those circumstances. But he hasn't played in two years and had flesh torn off his leg - there is no way he has the mobility he once had.

Dwayne Haskins is not here at practice today and it’s believed to not be COVID related.

So lame on his part, but I guess it sums up why he's not the starter and wasn't made the backup. His handling of all this says a lot.

Sometimes men need to stay home and cry.

A relationship is a two way street, maybe Haskins would just be Allen's backup if he took the benching in stride and resolved to work on his craft to earn it back.

Instead here we are already determining it was the Redskins coaching staff who leaked stories about his shitty work ethic and stat-bragging just so they could justify his benching (and nuke his trade value in the process).

Dang. Guess he really doesn't care anymore. Sure doesn't help his trade value. Hopefully some team will covet him.

I can confirm QB Dwayne Haskins is still sick. He went to the #WashingtonFootball
practice facility and was sent back home. He’s still throwing up and is still on medication. This is not COVID-19 related. @wusa9
@WUSA9sports

---------------------

Perhaps he just so happens to be truly sick ...

timing is suspect

Re: Giants Pre Game dumpster fire thread

If the story is true about him bragging about stats then that says everything you need to know about Haskins. He threw a bunch of screens the entire game and he's bragging about that? Then he unfollows the team and Allen? I wonder how these coaches can deal with some of these immature bitches. I couldn't. They would drive me nuts with their bullshit. Haskins = Steamin' Willie Beamen. And I believe Meyer mentioned Haskins was immature before the draft and the Redskins ( Dan) didn't listen.

Daniel Jones sucks but at least he seems like a hard ass worker and isn't an immature brat.

Re: Giants Pre Game dumpster fire thread

New York Giants rookie offensive tackle Andrew Thomas has had his share of growing pains this season, that's for sure.

According to PFF, Thomas has allowed 28 total pressures from the left tackle position, including a season-high nine last week against the Dallas Cowboys.

And Through five weeks, Thomas leads all offensive tackles with 28 pressures.

Giants offensive line coach Marc Colombo said its simply a matter of staying on Thomas each day to get him to clean up some things, but also noted that there is one thing in particular that has shown up on tape that opponents have exploited in Thomas' game.

"Yeah, what he's doing is snapping out of his stance and he's kind of overshooting his target," Colombo explained.

"And what's happening is when you put that on film, you're going to get a heavy dose of it and they're going to change it up. They're going fake up field and come back underneath."

Here is a still-shot of one such instance where Thomas appears to have missed his target, this coming in the second quarter against edge Everson Griffen, No. 97.

Take note of Thomas' positioning as he makes initial contact with Griffen. Thomas is lunging at the defender, and strikes him on the shoulder pad. Griffen, as you'll see in the clip below, then puts a spin move on Thomas and beats him inside for a hit against quarterback Daniel Jones.

"I tell these guys, 'Focus on your target and if your target is the inside number, that's it,'" Colombo said of his teaching point for the offensive linemen. "Wherever that target goes, you go."

Colombo believes that Thomas ha the feet to handle speed rushers, but notes that the inside move defensive players use is "the Cardinal sin" for an offensive lineman to lose.

"That's something I gotta do a better job, coaching him on, on what keys to look for when the guy's going to come inside," Colombo said.

Vagiants high pick LT Thomas is struggling with inside moves.

Good.

Predator is going to feast on Sunday.
