The worst part about having to fire Mike was it meant losing Kyle and Bobby in the process. At the time I wondered if there was any chance to fire Mike and keep them but one guy is his son and the other guy is one of his closest friends.

i guess today we will hear whether or not Desean sat out or did limited participation in practice/walk throughs.

Someone should start a Skins v Falcons pre game thread.

Our biggest problem will be handling their passing game...tall order. Can't give up the big plays...Trent Robinson/goldson need to rebound from poor games last week. Can't let Matt Ryan stand tall in the pocket...got to move him
My take is that our strength is rushing offense; which just happens to be ATL weakness. Stopping/limiting their offense imho starts with our offense/run game's ability to control the clock. We can't get into a shoot out. While it will be great (and possible) to gash them for good YPC, its more important to simply just keep grinding out the attempts ~30ish. Maintain the threat of play-action, bootlegs and control the clock.

I have faith that Jay-Kirk ability to move the ball effectively through the air, but still allow the run game carry them.

On the flip-side; ATL's offense so dangerous because they are good on the ground (Bobby) and in the air (Kyle). But on paper our D should be able to make them 1 dimensional. On paper we're stout against the run. Now they have a chance to really prove it against one of the better running games in the league. IF we can accomplish that goal, making them 1-dimensional, then we can focus on limiting their pass offense.

I don't see how we can stop Julio with a banged up Cully. My guess is we double him with Breeland + a safety help and prayer. Then its gonna come down to Hank vs an injured Cully or Blackmon...But the real answer comes from our front vs their OL. Can Ryan, Hatch, Bake, Paea, Murph and Preston get after Matty Ryan?

Fired after 4 games..That is a dumpster fire down in miami..and to think we lost to them! that is what frustrates me so much about the Skins..Miami was the game we should have won. we have to beat those teams to have a chance..I would be very happy to be playing the last two games for a chance at The NFC east. things are looking better in Washington.

Going into it, that wasn't a "game we should win". It's easy to say that now looking back at a 1-3 record but that was a team that had every reason to expect to win that game. We played them hard and even in a loss I think they showed us that this team could play with teams that they aren't supposed to beat.

The Dolphins are better than they've shown so far. Plus we beat ourselves week 1 more than anything.

Atlanta had to come back to beat all the other teams in our division. Its not like they strait up owned any of them. Cowboys were beating them pretty good and that was without Romo.
Our defense has been better atleast stat wise. Better in every category. We absolutely need to blitz the hell out of Ryan and rattle him early. Cant let him off the hook and have him just pick us apart. It is a road game. I wont be surprised if they beat us handily. I wont be surprised if they beat us in a close one. I wont be surprised if we beat them in a close one. I will be surprised if we beat them handily, and hey .... Who doesnt like surprises! HTTR.

Evidence that things are looking up: I haven't seen the words "dumpster fire" and Redskins in the same sentence in a while. Maybe since Scot got here... Coincidence. I think not. No matter what happens this weekend, we are a better team than a year ago. Much better.
