Re: Redskins - Eagles Post Game Thread

1. We're done for this season.
2. We need a new GM and HC in order to get better.
3. The future of Redskins football depends on what Dan Snyder does about the GM and HC positions.

That is all.

Then The coach has to go.

Its not front office, its jay effing gruden and the staff including d coordinater that he picked.
It is the front office as well as Jay Gruden. The front office hires the coaches. The front office makes the decisions not to re-sign Kirk Cousins. The front office makes the decisions to sign Ruben Foster. The front office makes the decision to give up a few first rounders for RGIII. The list goes on and on. I'm sorry, but Bruce Allen needs to be fired along with Jay Gruden, and sadly to say, Greg Manusky as well. Keep various position coaches like Jim Tomsula and let the new coach decide if he wants to keep those guys or not. But Bruce Allen has had 10 years to help build a contender, and the Redskins have played two post season games - and have lost both. They're terrible in prime time games. They go from 5-2 to 6-6, and play terrible at home. While injuries can be a freak thing, I start to wonder how can one team be bitten by the injury bug so severely and frequently? I can give a pass for one year of terrible injuries, but two years in a row riddled with season ending injuries? Strength and conditioning sucks.

Techniques suck. Look how bad the defensive tackling is. Watching the Vikings/Patriots game the other night, one big thing stood out to me that I don't see with our defense. The Patriots defensive guys were wrapping up the guys they were tackling. The solo tackles were successful, because they wrapped the guy up. The Redskins don't try to wrap the guy up when they tackle. They try to hit first, strip the ball, and the last resort is to wrestle the guy down after he's gained an additional 5 yards. It's pathetic. This team will be no better than 7-9 by the end of the season. It's time for everyone to go.

Injuries on D?

The D has been a let down and under achieving.

I'm trying to find Gruden's comments after the game about the D, I heard it reported.

All I have to say is I never realized how slow Kerrigan is out in the open. The man runs like he’s underwater, it’s amazing to watch an athlete run like Wile E Coyote, stuck in one place.

Defense has been solid all yr , it has kept us in games and kept us in this game. The offense sucks balls, and is injured. If it wasn't for the D and Peterson we would be 3-9 right now

Him and smith both have no speed at all, it kills our pass rush. I'd be fine with letting Smith walk.

Except they haven't been solid.

They have been decent against 1 dimensional run up the gut teams.

We have been screened all year and have given up the edge all year and stand zero chance against a team with a good qb.

We have more talent on defense than we have shown.

Norman, DJ, and now Clinton Dix. We should be able to mask an inexperienced cb with that line up but we don't.

Ryan is making 12m this year and 13m next year.

He needs to be restructured.

Re: Redskins - Eagles Post Game Thread

Some here want Colin K signed, here are some pro and cons:

Pros:
Most talented and youngest of all scrubs available
PR positive move after signing Rueben Foster (of course there still will be critics)

Negatives:
The anthem sit in protests seems to have disappeared and this will reignite it
I don’t think any Redskins kneel, but this would probably change and management might not be thrilled.
Alex Smith says: shit! You are taking my job again? Fucker!!

while true, we cant simply use that to glaze over the facts:

1. poor front office decisions coming into the season, (the alex trade was very bad decision)
2 how unprepared the team has looked a number of times (Indy, New Orleans)
3 the execution of the offense (the Offense has fallen off since McVay left)
4the poor scheme of the defense (Ryan Kerrigan shouldnt be covering anybody, inability to adjust)
5 the bad play calling (AP should have gotten the ball in the 3rd quarter just last night)
6 the lack of a passing game (Cant develop WRs, Alex was extremely poor)
7 the inability to come from behind and fight
8 the undisciplined play on the field
9 the lack of accountability in the locker room

Re: Redskins - Eagles Post Game Thread

For the 27th consecutive year, Washington will not win 11 games. Every other franchise in the NFL has done it at least once in that span.

LOL UNREAL

They had 8.5 in the box every play after Sanchez came in.

AP wasn't getting anything after Colt went down.
