Re: ExtremeSkins and Redskins Teamming Up?

I did go to extremeskins for a little while, but just to search and download their video clips. They have some nice content, but I'm betting that if they don't get express consent from the NFL and whatever network the game was on whoever is making these highlight videos won't be able to post them on a sit owned by a team.

Re: ExtremeSkins and Redskins Teamming Up?

Whatever. I smell sellouts as well. I'm intersted to find out (if we ever do) actually whats going on with it. The actual contractual agreements and stuff that are going on. I've never been a huge fan of the site, even though I post over there every now and again. Maybe the Redskins will get rid of all that cluttering BS.

Does that mean I will get a headache each time I go to Redskins.com like I do with Extremeskins horrific color scheme?

Re: ExtremeSkins and Redskins Teamming Up?

I don't mind extreme--there's good camp reports and some of the guys (especailly the mods) make good posts.

But it's tolerable mainly because I know I can come back here and discuss football--over there, it's a madhouse, especially when it's a hot topic.

35,000 is a huge number of memebers, and that's only going to go up. Glad we've got this board, Matty and Mods. It's like the VIP room in a bumping club. Out on the main floor (extreme) there's flashing lights, wild noise, and druken fights. In here behind the velvet rope, the power players smoke cubans and decide the fate of the world. Or something like that!

Oh, and the color-scheme blows there: it's like trying to read neon signs on acid.

Not that I'd know anything about that...

Re: ExtremeSkins and Redskins Teamming Up?

i really am interested in the financial agreements... will they be able to continue publishing bang cartoons which could be considered slander/libel on an official site?

bang also advertises for its products and services, and on an official site i'm not sure they could allow that, since its seem like the skins would be officially endorsing it.

I see headaches ahead.

Looks like Bang Cartoons is looking for a new home... Redskins must have given them the boot. I'd love to see them right here.

The bang cartoons are HALARIOUS. I'm not suprised the skins would get rid of them though.

Re: ExtremeSkins and Redskins Teamming Up?

I'm going to chill about this whole thing. We're all Redskins fans, knowledgeable or not, terrible site layout or not. We all gotta' stick together.

Not only that, I was reading a "WOW OTHER SITES ARE BITTER" thread over at extremeskins.com and DAMN, there were some sites you'd have thought were full of Cowboys fans.

Yeah; I'm not really too upset about it. That site is the obvious choice for the Redskins. While I personally enjoy this site better, they have about 29,000 more members than we do, so it makes sense. The only thing that upsets me about this, is when someone like Joe Crisp got his media pass ripped, as did the other skins fan sites. However, ESkins got to keep theirs. I just think in the future, the other sites are gonna get screwed over in favor of ES. Yes, GMANC711 is a conspiracy therist.

Matty, don't let this get to you in anyway. don't change this site an iota, high-end and selective is always better than official and corny.
