So it all comes down to this. Schefter vs JLC. Although it's not cut and dry (JLC can still say Haynesworth was shopped if he stays on the team) it will be a "battle" that the fan base will be able to recall throughout the piles of rumors we've been exposed to in the last few months.

Yeah, I think you nailed it Dirtbag. It is the media trying to one up the other or just create "noise" to justify them having their jobs. Most of our more NFL/Skins literate fellow posters in here could write better articles than most NFL.com or Fox Sports.com writers anyday.

I think JLC is still bitter about not breaking the Haynesworth news last year. Personally I think he's crap.

Could be sour grapes Ruhskins, but who knows. I think it would make sense to trade AH if he is indeed unhappy about the 3-4 switch, and especially if the supposed comments about the 2 sacks was an actual statement made to AH. Trade AH to Detroit for 2 second rounders.

We will see by this Saturday if he is full of BS. Either way it is going to be exciting.

That part caught my eye because it seemed too incredible. A space eater NT against the run can still rack up more than 2 sacks. It is good for the team if the blob NT gets more than two sacks. So if Shanny even thought that, much less said it to AH, then Shanny has lost his marbles.

Re: AH trade II La Canfora insists AH is indeed on the trading block.

The quote that JLC gave was completely idiotic. Paraphrasing: "If you get more than 2 sacks then something is wrong". I would be willing to be every penny that I ever made that Shanahan never said that. Even if AH played nose every down he would get more than 2 sacks. JLC is full of shit.

Even that idiotic granola Zorn wouldn't use AH only to take up 2 blockers every play.

One, Haslett called him. 2 McNabb called him. 3 Haslett is talking about using him all over the front 7. These guys wouldn't be jumping through hoops if they wanted him out.

If JLC made all of this up, he should never be allowed to report on the Redskins again. He looks like an effing douchbag anyway. Tell him to drop 50 and become the next Jared for Subway. What an effing tool.

I think if this is true, then we have more problems than just a bitter reporter making up shit.

Well Wilfork didn't get any last year.. has like 7.5 on his career.. probably a good benchmark.. it's not very common for an NT to get more than 2.. Ratliff did pull in 6 last year.. but that was 2 against us and 2 against Philly.. neither of which had great pass pro

Still, I think it'd be stupid for any coach to take someone like AH and make them a 100 million dollar plug in the middle. Shit, in that case let's put McNabb at running back and CP as offensive tackle (hey, he is a good pass blocker).

Re: AH trade II La Canfora insists AH is indeed on the trading block.

Casey Hampton from Pit had 2.5 last year.

Maybe the comment was taken from MS concerning the NT position in general.

The good NT don't get after the passer, and I beleive the Skins would use AH in a much more aggressive role.

Agreed; anyone who's read my thoughts on the matter would know that I agree with this haha

That is a pretty easy choice.
