Re: Round 4 Pick?
Unless we trade Chris Cooley, I'm not sure why Aaron Hernandez is on this poll. Don't get me wrong, I love the kid, but he's nowhere close to a need.

OL, QB, and I think now WR might be a concern on offense. I could see us picking up whoever is still on the board and is best in those catagories. OL- I'd take Campbell QB- Crompton, Pike, and LeFevour are still out there. Sporting News has Crompton listed higher then the other two but I think M.Shanahan brought in LeFevour. WR- Gilyard, M.Williams, and Briscoe interest me. Gilyard at 5-11 is like DeSean Jackson. M.Williams at 6-2 is like Antonio Bryant. Briscoe at 6-3 is like Kevin Walter of the Texans whom K.Shanahan used extensively. Who knows what their planning on doing on defense? I'd like to think our DL is set right now unless we want to get younger and healthier. Otherwise I see LB, and FS as an issue. I'm not sure at this point who is best suited and is left on the board. Yesterday there was a run at LB, CB and S or so I thought. I know some of you are high into character but I'm sorta interested in Blount the RB. He impressed me in the Pro Bowl. I could also see us picking up a FB, maybe. |

Re: Round 4 Pick?
Dude is a flat out stud and when I look at who is left...Gilyard is clearly the best player availible.
Surprise to hear Wang being mentioned...I didnt know Capers was still around, I'd probably take him over Bruce Campbell at this point. Im feeling pretty good at this point with the amount of talent left actually. Tackle, RB, QB, LB, C...those positions still have some decent prospects

Re: Round 4 Pick?
I wonder if we'll be able to move Campbell today.

Re: Round 4 Pick?
I was thinking that Campbell might change his address to Buffalo or Oakland today. If Shanny wil drop his asking price, now is the time. And neither of those teams have addressed their QB situation, and a QB taken now is a project, not a solution for the near future.

I personally would take Joe McKnight. Cam Thomas or one of the tackles also would be good picks, although I think we can still grab a good tackle in the 5th.

Re: Round 4 Pick?
With the 4th pick Campbell would be nice but others like Mitch Petrus OG, Cam Thomas NT or Marcus Easley WR would do. If a LB or QB left in the 5th like John Skelton QB or Dekoda Watson OLB would be nice. Also Eric Olson G could fit the bill!

Re: Round 4 Pick?
^ Nice post my only concern with Campbell is he's played LT and we now have Silverback. Can he move to RT? I love his size and I think he could take on some big guys with his size and strength alone.
and again I know we have a ton of talent at RB, Blount might be good to bring in also to take over next yr. But I'll admit that spot could wait till next yr. Our coach's are being extremely difficult to read. We know where our problems were last yr, but the coach's have made comments to some of those positions otherwise and they have supported some of those spots in FA. If WR is a concern then any of the 3 I mentioned, Gilyard, M.Williams, or Briscoe. ProFootball Draft says: Bottom Line; M.Williams- He's a huge risk, but anyone who can straighten out Williams would be getting a very good deep threat. Gilyard- At worst, he's a potentially great return specialist. Even if he's never a true starting receiver, Gilyard is capable of making an impact as a part-time player. Briscoe- His measurable will be hard to ignore, and he's the kind of field-stretching threat who will at least earn a role as a third receiver. But Briscoe might not be tough enough to be an every-down player. |

Re: Round 4 Pick?
You mean we have more picks in this draft? Awesome.
But seriously, I know we need o line help but Dwyer would be hard to pass up.

Re: Round 4 Pick?
I can't believe we passed on Bruce Campbell...now we need to trade away a player to get a decent OT, either that or get an old castoff....we could have been set at oline for years and they pick a no name olb?
They needed to strike gold...that had it in their hands and blew it. Im pissed!
