Wow - Washington cut Dustin Hopkins. Blewitt is the new kicker
Just heard that Blewitt's last kick in an actual game was in 2016...he went 10 of 17 that year for FGs.

If we see some real changes like Collins getting benched that will get my attention.
This. And who signs a kicker with the name Blew It?

Exactly. Meet the new Graham Gano.

Next cut should be Rivera's game strategy.

Kicks a FG on 4th and 6 when we're playing the CHIEFS. Not to mention it was 3rd and 2. Tell the team we're running twice if need be to get this 1st down and get on with it.

Meanwhile against the Saints he goes for it on 4th and 10 when a FG could have really helped us in a winnable game.

Rivergoat...

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

Re: Packers Pregame Thread (Hopkins cut)

Hopkins was the least of our problems, albeit his 94% overall on XP's is never doing him any favours. To me this is just a cheap way for RR to say I'm not afraid to cut/bench guys for failure. But if he's not prepared to bench guys like Collins, that don't play up to their contract level, then its an empty gesture.

I'd consider benching all the under performing defensive players for the 1st quarter against GB if you want to send a real message. I mean, it probably wouldn't do much harm anyway...

Agree , this is all Ron saying "I have control" which he doesn't. The team sucks and he knows the fans are over it, look at the stadium weekly at Fedex.. Nobody goes to the games. He's trying to save the little fans he has left.

Spot on mate. Rivera has taken a bollocking on this message board.
His tenure with the team went all to pot since the day he started that knob Haskins.

This team has me knackered, I'm going to start throwing a wobbly if things don't change.

I'm losing my mind, sorry!

Pretty big statement from Ron Rivera - says he told Landon Collins he views him as a downhill linebacker

I view him as a dog turd and another Bruce mistake.

Collins can’t cover

aka Fitz isn't ready to come back yet and benching TH for KA doesn't accomplish anything, might as well ride it out until RF can play
