Terrible mock. I don't see the Bengals taking a QB. I just can't see us taking Smith either, as much as I like him.

Re: 2nd round mock

That is two HORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIBLE picks for us.

I should have expected garbage picks from PFT though.

Re: 2nd round mock

Torrey Smith or any WR at #41 would be assinine IMO. Would rather draft Paea at #41. Would be happy with Mallett at #49...that seems like a good risk/reward spot for him. I don't see him lasting that long though.

PFT must think Vinny is still drafting for us!

Torrey Smith is 6'1" 200lbs and has a 41" vertical, I'd hardly consider him a small, fast receiver.

Classic looks like Tarzan plays like Jane player from Maryland. He's basically a bigger version of Ted Ginn Jr. Great physical tools but only ran 4 routes in college. If we MUST go Receiver I would rather go Hankerson, Cobb, Little, or Young.

Still I have absolute contempt for Receivers. Guys who if you're lucky are only involved in 7 or 8 plays a game. Compare that to lineman who are involved in at least 30 to 40 plays a game, and QB's who handle the ball on 99% of offensive snaps that aren't punts and field goals.

Completely agree! WR is a luxury pick for a team trying to rebuild. I might take one tomorrow but i wouldn't do it tonight. Focus on QB and line play. I would even draft a RB before I took a WR since a good RB can handle the ball 15 to 20 times in a game.

I'm with you guys.

This perspective makes Atlanta's trade seem even sillier. They gave up the farm for a guy who might have 7 touches a game.

Agree! Although I would say linemen, then QB then CB then RB then WR.

We need to take best NT, C, or QB with these picks. I'd love to steal a late rounder like Blackmon WR from Ok St, or his teammate Kendall Hunter RB.
It would be huge if we can make that happen.

Well in general I think QB is most important but as far as tonight goes I think we missed all the QB's that would have excited me so I would just as soon pass on the rest and try and fill some other holes with some big bodies.

And if there's any truth to the Raiders dangling their 2012 1st rounder then I am all over that. I would give them #41 straight up for that pick. That's an Andrew Luck lottery ball!

I'm with you on this. Though I'd take a flyer on a QB in the 4th (if we have a pick there) or 5th round this year. I've been saying we need two new QBs for a while. A young starter and a young backup.

Personally, I don't think the trade with the Raiders will happen. But they're definitely talking. Apparently, we're talking with the Niners as well. But I think everyone is, so that's not a big deal
