Slot, think of Deebo Samuel, that is the type of player he is

He's more of a Tyreek Hill type player with a Deebo Samuel build.

Hmmm interesting. Think I found it:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Coryell

Norv Turner, a former Washington Redskins and San Diego Chargers head coach, and offensive coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers and currently the Carolina Panthers, also implements a version of the Coryell style of offense. The Turner strain of Coryell offenses are still very reliant on a good receiving TE. Norv Turner strains sometimes feature an 'F-Back' (formerly known as an 'H-Back' in the 1980s), a hybrid tight end/wide receiver/fullback/running back. An F-Back is a multi-purpose, unpredictable tool for the offense. On any play he may carry the ball, lead block or pass block, play as a wide receiver, or run a tight end route. He is also part decoy, as his unpredictable role forces defenses to keep an eye on him, thereby opening up other opportunities for the offense.

Norv’s influence on Scott. It’s gonna be a little bit of a Cooley type that Gibbs used except focus will be less blocking, more vertical up the field

Re: Antonio Gibson

I don't care where he lines up. You put Terry, Sims and Gibson on the field along with Guice or Love and you got guys that can take it to the damn house.

Hip tightness limits fluidity in the open field

What does a comment like this mean? Is it saying he only runs well in a straight line?

That's not what shows on tape for sure. The guy is a video game breaking tackles and making guys miss all over the place...

It means the writer needed one more bullet point in the weakness column.

Exactly...LBs and box safeties trying to cover 4.39 out the backfield

This is a total H-back pick who they can motion out into formation

Re: Antonio Gibson

At least we know Kyle and RR say true to their BPA board bc if they were need based, TE Trauttman and OT Jones were there.

Based on my 10 mins of research on this young man ... my fail can’t miss comparison is a less polished but more explosive Antwaan Randle-El. Watching highlights it’s handoffs or catches where no one is within 3 steps of him. I didn’t see a lot of out of the backfield stuff. I saw 1 kinda short screen type play near the end zone.

I don’t think he will be getting those cushions in the nfl like he did in the AAC. Can he get separation off his route running, can he make a contested catch?

Can he even run nfl routes? Have at least average nfl hands? From what I read ... no. He’s a project with a lot of physical ability upside.

Re: Antonio Gibson

Ron did say he will play him at RB as well so I'm thinking he could be a version of CMAC for us

Re: Antonio Gibson

My only wonder is if this is one of those cases where the 40 yard numbers don't line up with the tape. His highlights seems like he runs slower than a 4.4. Time will tell, but if we use him right and he makes plays I don't care where they slot him at.

What? This dude looks like the most explosive player in this draft. He plays like he runs a 4.3. The 40 time does line up with the tape. If he was like 20 pounds lighter he probably run a 4.2. We can't be looking at the same player.
