Dallas Cowboys cornerback Michael Jenkins injures ankle during practice - ESPN

He is to have a big role in secondary, high ankle sprain.

The dreaded high ankle sprain. Sucks for him.

It is nice to see our division rivals struggle.

Jenkins is supposed to start or at least play nickel. The Boys traded Anthony Henry in the offseason despite the fact that corner has been a weakness for them. Newman gets injured frequently and Scandrick is still a work in progess. They need Jenkins badly.

Re: Cowgirl CB Michael Jenkins Ankle Injury

It may be that Scandrick starts. He had a good year last year as a nickel back. But both Scandrick and Jenkins will have to start when Newman gets hurt again. And there is no guarantee that Scandrick will be ready to start. He may find things more difficult when he is lining up opposite #1 and #2 wideouts more often.

In the minimum scenario, these days you need a good nickel back and the Boys have little behind Jenkins. If he gets hurt or plays poorly, it will be time to light it up through the air against the Cowboys.

I agree there. I've been reading all these articles with how impressed the Cowboys coaches were with him last year and I was like WHAAAAAAAAAaaa?! I thought he played like crap, and while people might think that Scandrick was a great nickel last year, it's kind of like having the nicest Pinto in a car show. It still sucks overall.

That time has been now for quite some time. We are similar to the anti-Cowboys when it comes to defense. We're great in the secondary and still lock people down while they're great up front they still have a secondary that isn't great. It's kind of insane for having arguably the best defensive player in the game they have such a bad secondary.

Good afternoon sir. I tasked my wife with that because I couldn't think of one and she came up with a gem.
