That bitch jumped in his face. He had a right to defend himself.

There is video evidence of both.

Both say they were called a racial slur by the person they hit/kicked. Should that matter in any way?

Mixon's punch looked brutal, Hunt's kicked didn't look as hard, should that matter in any way?
I am not sure a kicked out of league for good approach would be best or even reach the table. My guess is it would be a hierarchy that increase punishment with each instance.

As far as I know the racial slurs are all heresay right? There is no evidence only eye witnesses in regards to it?

As far as the intensity that shouldn't matter as it is a ZTP.

Regardless I would be very curious to see how the NFL and the NFLPA would negotiate a ZTP.

All you have to do is remember how they handled O.J. Simpson to know well known athletes get special treatment. How many times did O.J. beat and terrorize Nicole and get away with it? Then there was the low speed chase if that was John Doe murder suspect they would have disabled than Bronco pretty quick.

I’m glad misogyny and advocating hitting women (who didn’t even put hands on him first) is alive and well on this board. Geez I miss the days of old.

Under a ZTP, would pushing a yelling, angry spouse away from a player's face be treated the same as the knockout punch of Ray Rice?

Re: Kareem Hunt cut

I actually say sign him off waivers if you can.
Why? We are already taking the PR heat for the same exact issue anyways for 2 other players, particularly for one playing the same position that is aging out.

The positives?
Talent
Group anger management classes are more cost effective if everyone is on the same team.

From a marketing standpoint, any press is good press.
In 2020, we may have 2 amazing playmakers. Who do we have now? No one

BTW. This isn't just a shove a woman thing. This is a shove ANYONE thing. We praise a lifetime of training football players to hit ,hit, hit...yet we're appalled when they do it off the field. We are frankly hypocrites. BTW, what about Fights with other guys? The real issue is Anger and harming others off the field. And this showboating and taunting generally reflects an arrogant in you face attitude along these same lines. It is possible to play football and stay cool. Look at Art Monk. However, he is not the norm. Violence begets violence. Football is a violent sport of striking those in conflict with you. I am not surprised at all.

I think the best thing to do is look at the MLB and MLBPA agreement. That has to be the best policy for domestic violence in all of professional sports.

Are you saying they have difficulty differentiating between their job and public life? Not sure I agree.

Somebody doesn't have to hit you first to warrant being hit. Jumping in somebody's face puts that person at risk. I don't see anything this guy did wrong. She jumped in his face. He pushed her. She hit him and things got a little out of control.

Not at all. But is you have been trained, as a child to hit, hit, hit. And do so through teenage years, etc. You are more likely to hit than if you were trained to hug, hug, hug.

Most careers are not trained since a child. Particularly encouraging physical hitting as a positive attribute.
Cops and military may also exhibit similar issues as they too are typically from anhitting is good mentality as a child or adolencent. Although not a regularly as daily hitting training.

Don't kill me on that. I am just saying if you train to hit, hit, hit, you are probably more likely to hit in anger or under pressure. We do what we are trained to do.
