Re: What song are you listening to right now?

HBO's 'We Own This City' is the closest fans will get to a sequel of 'The Wire'

Re: The "What are you watching right now" Thread

I have pretty much watched everything on Paramount+ that I want to see or am waiting for new seasons.

About to tryout Showtime because there is a fight I want to watch. Any show recommendations?

I've still never watched The Wire. Haven't seen Game of Thrones either.

Never watched GOT either, it's on my list

Never watched The Sopranos start to finish, the first few seasons I watched it pretty regularly and then lost track of it

I'm just not good at watching long series, if you have to watch week to week, then wait for a new season. So I never saw The Sopranos either.

One day, I will probably end of watching The Wire and The Sopranos in full in like a few weeks time.

I don't think I will like GOT all that much.

The last show I ever watched religiously from beginning to end was Justified. But that is my favorite non-comedy show of all times, so that was easy. So far I have kept up with Yellowstone. So that might make the list.

Yeah binging is the way to go.

Prior to watching the new season of Better Call Saul I had to watch a summary video on YT of everything that has happened until now, and now the 2nd half of this season won't be back until July.

If you have not watched Season 4 of Stranger Things you are missing out, just all around excellent.

I enjoy The Wire and Sopranos so much I've legit considered buying the entire series on blu-ray if the price is right. The Wire in particular is about as realistic as it gets - and you can't shoehorn it into one genre. S1 is about crime, S2 is about the docks, S3 is more crime, S4 is about education, and S5 is about the media. It basically shows how everything gets tied in together and why it's so hard to make meaningful change in cities.

Anyways right now I'm watching the 4th season of Mayans which is about to wrap up next week - it's ok but I have plenty of beef with the writing. Waiting for BCS to come back in mid-July iirc - they really gave us a hell of a mid-season finale in the last episode.

Debating whether to buy Hulu because I've seen a couple clips of a show called Mr. Inbetween which only ran 3 seasons - but the clips look good and it's got good reviews.

My sister recommended watching Jack Reacher on Prime - she says its as good as the movies. Idk though - I watched that one clip somebody posted here a while back and it looked kinda dumb.

I already pay for standard cable, so I try to only pay for 1 streaming service at a time (not including Amazon Prime). I had Paramount+. Switched back to HBO Max again today. I have a big-time crush on Kaley Cuoco, so I watch her show The Flight Attendant. Season 2 is now available. I like the show so far (season 1), but that could be biased because of her. I'm going to make sure I watch The Wire before I cancel HBO Max again.

I do have Amazon Prime. I haven't watched Jack Reacher. I also haven't watched Jack Ryan (even though I've had it saved in the my list section forever).

Note - If you ever sign up for Paramount+, I recommend Mayor of Kingstown. I really liked that show.

I watched it and liked it very much but if you think it's like the move with Tom Cruise you will be disappointed.
