The evolution of the thread is fascinating. On a side note I am beginning to think that 5Superbowls3Wins is actually Colt McCoy. The only positive things they have said about the team is about Colt McCoy, McVay, Gibbs 1.0 regime. Maybe he's Gibbs?

The best way to explain this deal is to say the front office found Scot McCloughan stash and were drunk when they made the decision.

No, they just copied Jerry Jones's normal operating methods.

Re: Redskins have claimed LB Reuben Foster

If your team is struggling to fill the stadium with supportive fans doing something that upsets even a small portion of the fan base unless their is huge upside doesn't make good sense. Of course next to nothing will chase off the hardcore fans, but the Redskins do not have enough of those to fill the stadium. Just by popular opinion and all the talk coming from anyone not a Redskin homer this seems to be a really bad move. This isn't like Petersen where he could step right in and make a big contribution helping the team.

Really poor choice of words there. That's probably gonna extend the outrage a bit.

If I was outraged about it, I'dve done more than call it a poor choice of words. Just saying Doug needs to pick his words more carefully than that. He's only adding more fuel to the flames.

True, true...another thing that kinda triggered me, if Doug was go talk food then why isn’t mentioning that we have the tasty linebacker name in the game? Seriously, who hasn’t ended up at their favorite deli since we made the waiver claim.

Re: Redskins have claimed LB Reuben Foster

"Small potatoes"....this shows the mindset in which this decision was made. It's not that they are giving him the benefit of the doubt, its not that they are relying on a large support group to help a young guy make better decisions; it's that it's not seen as a big deal. Williams said they all sat down and discussed this at length, based on these comments we can infer what was said in the meeting.

Next to say that if he worked at mcdonalds that this would go unnoticed or would not stop him from getting a job....that is a horrible justification or explanation of why this is ok. We don't wear the name tags of our favorite mcdonalds cashier on our chest, we do wear the name of our favorite player on our back. That is why football players are under a microscope and while they are young and immature--it doesn't change that fact. No one wants to be under that microscope but it justifiably comes with the job.

The skins will and should get shit for this. They didnt evem send out Bruce or snyder to talk. The comments after the fact truly put this move into perspective. In 2 years I'm sure foster will be a good player on this team. It doesn't make it ok. We did a bad job today.

Maybe he gets his shit together and at the very least gets the help he needs or if in the case he is innocent, surrounds himself with better people.

F Allen and Snyder for sending out Doug and Jay to take all the bullets. Hell, even the players had to answer for the move. F'ing cowards.
