Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
I hope it's not Raheem Morris. He does an awful job coaching the worst position on our team. Our secondary regularly blows their assignment and the guy running them is seen as a potential successor?
That said, I don't think Shanny is done -- nor should he be. We're still better today than we were when he took over. Much better. He also did that while losing 36M to the salary cap.

This organization does not need to continue the revolving door with the coaching staff. They need to focus on getting better talent as this team still has big holes in talent that can never be overcome by coaching.

Quote:
A leaky Oline WRs that can't win battles. A QB who is 80% of himself I think even 80% of Bob is good enough but when the line can't protect him and the WRs can't get open there isn't much success that can be had. Plus he lost an entire off season of work and he clearly needs improvement in the passing game from a scheme standpoint. On defense we just lack talent in the back. Although they are slowly getting better. Too many missing pieces that can mostly be tied to playing with a short deck. I suspect that will get Shanny some latitude. |

I agree but I don't want to see Kyle anymore. I've had enough of his lack of adjustments, the lack of hurry up offense....time to move on there.

sorry Irish but 4 years is long enough, Mike can't win in DC not consistently any way and its proven, He's 22-31 now and unless we make some miracle 8-3 run he will have 3-4 years under .500. I'm over the shanaplan era and I was one if not his biggest supporter even after the Mcnabb debacle.

Morris was averaging 5 ypc and they stopped giving him the ball

Not sold on R. Morris. I think we need to clean house entirely.
David Shaw would be great, but he's 1 yr. into a new contract. He's a west coast guy with a great job at his alma mater and strong salary. I don't see him leaving to come here. Charlie Strong, Kevin Sumlin, Steve Sarkisian and Jim Mora would be on my short list.

No. He was averaging 2.6 yards prior to his 45 yard run for the TD. The problem with the offense is because the run game isn't working, and the RO had a lot to do with it working last year.

We shouldn't be focusing on a college coach though. We should be going for a guy that has NFL experience.
Who would you focus on more? A offensive minded coach or defensive minded?

Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
^ I'd rather go with Offensive minded because in Today's league u have to be able to score 25 PPG in order to win. Our O isn't garbage but it's basically middle of the pack

Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
Looks like that seat is getting hot.
@HTTR24_7 So this rumor is making the rounds.Ex-Coach in a production meeting said Skins reached out to gauge his interest in a return. He did follow up with this: @HTTR24_7 Honestly I don't know if that's true. Seems bizarre because the coach who supposedly said it isn't the coach you would naturally assume

Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
I like defensive minded coaches, but obviously both offensive and defensive minded coaches have proven to be exceptional superbowl winning coaches.
I just hope the next coach focuses on the OLine and Defensive front because both of those aspects need improvement in order for the Skins to be contenders. |
