Carolina Panthers vs Washington Redskins Gameday Thread

Get it started!! Can't sleep!!! Ready for Beck era to begin, and hoping he does well.

Panthers struggle against the stretch run, and since that's Shanny's specialty i'm looking for a huge game on the ground for the Redskins.

Did you forget about our O-line? Or lack of depth therein?

We need our bookend LBs to make some Fig Newton sandwiches.

Agreed. If we are going to win this game, Cam will have to be on his back for the a lot of it.

Thumbs up Re: Carolina Panthers vs Washington Redskins Gameday Thread

I hope we play well today. Don't underestimate Cam Newton. He may be a rookie, but the Redskins have a tendency of making rookie or young QBs famous. I say blitz him a lot and let Orakpo & Kerrigan crush him. At the end of the day, as long as we are 4-2, that's all that matters.

Re: Carolina Panthers vs Washington Redskins Gameday Thread

IDK if you have watched cam this year, but he has been about as phenominal as i have ever seen for a young QB beating the blitz. I say we do bring heat from rak and kerrigan. But if we start doing these Zero blitz things we seem to love so much we are going to be in trouble, especially in the Steve Smith vs Dhall area.

I'm thinking we see a lot of Roy and Ryan today. I haven't read anything saying it, but with our coaching staff, we could sign someone fromt he practice roster to start today.

No Grossman to spot them 4 turnovers. We roll on the crappy Panthers.

Terrence Austin has a career day. 70 yards, 1 TD.

Sadly, we continue our unmerry history with rookies and cave to a finely orchestrated comeback by Cam Newton 27-24.

I see in the preview that he was getting most the work in practice, so i'm guessing he's #1?

Re: Carolina Panthers vs Washington Redskins Gameday Thread

Time to shine or fade. Skins season will be in peril if we lose to a 1-5 team. I will be very pissed if we dont run the ball down the throat of the 32nd ranked run defense in the league.
