Who Should The Redskins at #9

I think we're close enough to the draft to start quantifying our interest in certain players. So assuming we stay at #9 who should we take?

vote and discuss

I know it may not be reasonable to say Edwards, but he is who I would really like us to get.

Re: Who Should The Redskins at #9

After reading todays article in the Post, I was very pleased to hear what Pac-Man said about wanting to be a Redskin. To me, and I bet most of us here that means a lot. Yes, he's a bit undersized at 5'11 187, but lets remember that Darrel Green was smaller than that and he turned out to be great Redskin/future HOFamer.

But if we choose to go with Rogers or Rolle, I'll be happy. I also wouldn't mind drafting Williamson, but at #9 that might be to high.

Re: Who Should The Redskins at #9

Yeah, I would say #9 is too high for Williamson. I picked Rolle but now that you pointed out that article, I completely agree with you about Pac-Man. I like Rolle's size, but we don't need another Miami product (Sorry SkinsNCanes) working out in Florida when he should be with the team.

I still would prefer Edwards, but if we are going CB, Pac-Man seems like a stand up guy with plenty of talent.

I'm on the exact same page. Pac Man called to say he wanted to be here. And I've had it with the U of Miami guys, I don't want too many of them on one team (not that I think Rolle will fall to us). If they're going to be a clique within the team, I'm not so sure that's great for team morale and chemistry as a whole.

Plus, just imagine what will happen when Jones finds the Power Pellets on the field. T.O. will turn blue and get a lot slower!

On a more serious note, when I think about it. Anyone that says they want to be a part of our team just from visiting, is definitely someone I want.

I'm on the Pac-Man bandwagon now.

I think I'm still leaning toward Rolle because I just love that combination of size, tackling and speed, but Pac-Man is starting to win me over. By draft day, Pac-Man's attitude will probably have me cheering for him instead, but right now Rolle is just too tempting when you're going up against TO and Plax twice a year.

On a side note, wasn't it Rolle that said his favorite team growing up was the Cowboys?

For that reason alone, we shouldn't draft him....

I know our greatest need now is a corner but it would be nice to draft Shawne Merriman

I voted ........ Other. I'm hoping for that Draft day trade that will net more picks. Of course, I'm also holding out hope that we are able to unload Rod Gardner for a pick.

Re: Who Should The Redskins at #9

Taking Rolle, another thug with attitude from Miami would be a disaster. They all got their head up their butt from the Hurricanes. No thanks. Enough personnel problems with Moss (who's done nothing and wants a big contract, I can't believe we're gonna be that stupid) and Taylor ( I signed for 40 mill but I'm still unhappy). They really should draft a Defensive End and there are a lot of good ones in the draft this year like Merriman from Maryland.

I definitely like Merriman as well. He seemed like he had a desire to play for the Skins and also seems to be a good character guy. He is another guy who is a beast.
