I also wanted to quote your post again because it's a good one, and I think it applies almost to any business in general. Take a show like "undercover boss", and it really jumps out at you - the owners in general are very clueless about the nature of their business. Even more couldn't even satisfactorily function in any kind of day to day aspect of their business. What makes them successful is that most of the time they are as you said, hiring competent professionals to make the decisions, etc...

It is really only my opinion mom and pop / family businesses that are basically inept (Dad is owner, Mom is president, Cousin Cooter is CFO etc...) that fail miserably because ownership insists in putting only family in management positions and then nobody knows what to do about anything, seeing as most never made it out of high school or had any kind of business experience.

A ++ on your post. It should almost be a sticky to any NFL owner / owner in general. Leave everything up to professional management, come out once in a while and wave your little hat, sign autographs, and smile for the kids, etc. If it comes down to you as the owner trying to think about or do something, GTFO and consult someone who is a lot smarter than you at whatever decision you are trying to make

Then you fucking gloat. I've seen many here say we are to kick their ass, blah, blah, then whine. Some never learn, that's what I loved about Gibbs he knew they would kick ass but kept it to himself.

Discipline is a strong point for him and Jeff Fisher's teams aren't always the best, but they are never the worst.

The Goff pick ABSOLUTLEY was forced on him. Jeff would never say that to media or really anyone, being a classy guy, and i think it speaks volumes that Case Keenum is still starting while Goff is still riding the pine. Jeff Fisher is also very ballsy, as he went head to head with Bud Adams about starting Vince Young (Vince Young sucked and is out of the NFL, so who was right all these years later), and now he might be doing the same thing with Kroenke about Jared Goff. I'll go and say it now - Jared Goff is a bust.

I know people always say "its only pre-season", but i did not see anything even remotely impressive with Goff, he never did anything special that I don't think anyone who has ever played football couldn't do. People go "oh he's got the arm" - Just about EVERYONE who makes it to the NFL has decent arm strength. I watched Hard Knocks, and nothing about Goff's arm seemed amazing. Definitely not like watching a guy like Michael Vick sling it.

The rams go 9-7 this year I believe and sneak into the playoffs. Keenum is a baller and the rest of the team seem to love him
Do you know for a fact that Goff is going to suck?

I guess nothing is 100% etched in stone, but i trust the opinion of a lot of NFL folks who said over the summer that Goff was not an NFL ready quarterback. At best, a work in progress, perhaps not worthy of a #1 pick

I'm not normally one to agree with SF but this is truth. Divisional games are always a toss up.

Keenum is a baller? Has the baller threshold been significantly lowered lately or something?

Re: Around the NFL Week 5.

It's been a while since Kurt Warner I guess. Keenum is mediocre at best.

Skins fan logic: Above are all definitely big time ballers... Cousins meh, not a baller.
