Hmm... I wonder why the national outlets who SHOW THE DRAFT ON TV would want to see interest piqued? Can't have anything to do with ratings, can it?

Lying season doesn't just apply to coaches and GMs. Consider the sources for all convenient leaks that just so happen to come out during draft week.

I was just about to post something along these lines, the national peeps can fuck right off, all they’re doing right now is creating drama. Stay with the local beat guys, they know what’s really up.

I’m fine with a later round developmental guy, I just wouldn’t waste a day 1 or 2 pick on a guy that’s going to sit all year.

Agreed, if we go QB before round 4, they better start.

I listened to Cooley. I have to say I totally disagree with him about Haskins. You just don't have that kind of production against good competition and not be a baller. I wanted to ask Cooley did he watch the Michigan game? Northwestern or Washington? If so then how in the world did he come to his conclusion? It makes no sense. The stuff about his footwork also makes no sense. The guy works the pocket and actually steps up in the pocket. He also rolls out to both sides.

IDK if we should draft Haskins at 15. But I just don't see what Cooley is seeing. I see a guy in Haskins who would be the first pick in the draft if he stayed another year.

And even with some local guys, like Chris Russell or Grant Paulsen, like to create drama as well.

To me, if a piece of news that I hear doesn't come from JP Findlay, John Keim, or Craig Hoffman, I'm going to take it with a grain of salt.

True I stopped following Paulsen and Russell a long time ago

Florio is not peddling bullshit. He's commenting on an actual report from EPSN.

Additionally, according to Bleacher Report, its not just Snyder and Allen wanting Haskins.

Quote:
One source inside the coaching staff said team president Doug Williams was obsessed with getting the Ohio State quarterback.
Snyder, Allen, and Williams are the people i respect least in the redskins front office when it comes to evaluating talent. And they reportedly want Haskins.

Gruden and OConnell - guys who would be directly involved in coaching the player - supposedly would both prefer Jones.

But of course, our bone-headed FO would never listen to the recommendations of the actual people who know what they are talking about.

My official prediction:

Remain at 15 and select Brian Burns.

Haskins benefited greatly as OSU has 3 NFL WR and a stout Oline.

FYI Parris Campbell is a monster.
CC kinda reminds me of Skip some, he likes saying crazy shit. Haskins threw 50 TDs in a solid conference. The fact that Cooley would downplay that is a joke. Regardless if we pick him or not

Re: With the 15th Pick, the Redskins select...

Dwayne Haskins is the best pure pocket QB in this draft. It would be a huge miss if we did not take him at 15. I've watched all his tape, graded as well. He was legit this season. Talk about "friendly " offense, look at Kyler and OU, it's as QB friendly as it gets. Haskins is for real and we will all see in his pro career.

Murray has the play making ability and the legs, Haskins does not. Haskins will need a great o-line which we do not have. IDK, it's a tough decision if Haskins is there and we're picking. You also have to look at the business side of things. He'll get the fan base excited and sell some tickets. This organization needs that in the worst way possible.
