Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread

its gonna be a dog fight... hoping Landry can get back on the field .. hoping the o-line can perform better in pass pro and getting the edges set on runs... we need consistent pressure on slob without selling out too much and leaving the secondary vulnerable ... its gonna be a tough coaching and playing game...vwe need to come out firing on all cylinders instead of a slow start and hopefully keep ut up for 60 minutes...

Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread

Arizona's offense will be a tougher test than the Giants. Kolb threw the ball great against Carolina with a 11.4 yards per attempt. I really hope LL is back this week and we should be able to get pressure on him with our DLine. They ran the ball ok last week, but so did the Giants.

Arizona did a really, really good job against the run last week, holding Stewart and Williams to a 2.7 yard average on like 25 attempts. Their secondary is very, very poor. We should have opportunities in the passing game, but Im more interested in how we game plan our running attack. We struggled the second half and with very perdictable play calling from a run perspective. Id like to see try Torrain in between the tackles this week and like to see Helu get the ball in space on screens or maybe a pitch out the backfield. Our Oline should be able to handle their front better in protection.

This will not be an easy win, but I think we pull away in the 4th.

Skins 26 Cards 16

Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread

Pass protection has to show up and defense has to be consistent from week to week -- Grossman showed what he can do when given enough time and he was still peeling himself off the field most pass plays.

I'd also like to see Hightower step it up -- the defensive front of the Cards is just a little bit less than the Giants. Most importantly, lets see if big TW bounces back.

27-20 Skins. Hopefully Rex torches their secondary.

I think this game will come down to the wire, I see Fitz having around 9 catches but I feel like the skins will pull this one out.. 26-21 Look for Moss to continue his roll and Gaffney with another TD catch. Orakpo will have 2 sacks

Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread

I will be very curious to see which Rex shows up. During his Super Bowl year of 2006, he had several games with passer ratings in the 100's, just as he did against the Giants. But he also had several games where his passer rating did not break 20.

Rex had a good game against the Giants. Let's hope he brings that every week including this one.

I think Rex has spoken to that as more of a system issue with Chicago. This system has more structure and discipline, therefore more accountability from the coaching staff. Keeping that discipline is what Rex needs to do. But what Ive seen last year and so far this year, he's been able to do that.

Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread

Time to be consistent. I'm looking forward to seeing if we can get our run game going this week. I noticed last week we ran to the outside a lot of the time. Now I understand and love that aspect of the game, but we need to mix it up from time to time, because it felt like every time we ran, it was towards the corners. Spread 'em wide and run a couple draws up the middle just to balance it out a little bit. But other than that I'm looking for improve o-line play and I'm curious to see how our secondary plays against AZ's wideouts.

I think Grossman will have a good game. I'm excited to see the gameplan because I know our coaches are dedicated enough to find all the Cards' weaknesses and set us up so we can exploit them. This team will be hard to beat, but they are beatable.

Honestly I'm salivating at the thought of what we can do to them on offense. But make no mistake if our offense plays bad, we won't have a shot at winning this game. I know Hightower will be extremely excited to show his former team what he can do. Last week was Barry Cofield's Giant Reunion, this week will be Tim Hightower's Family Reunion. Lets get it men!

I hope so. I wasn't trying to be doom-and-gloom. Obviously I hope he smokes them.
