Hate to say it but this would be the best thing. 3-13. That would mean Gruden is gone and Bruce is right behind him.

We're not going anywhere w/ Colt. We weren't going anywhere w/ Smith. We need a drafted stud who can make the players around him better.

Back to Colt...I rather have Colt than pay a Dalton, Keenum, Tannehill. Simply too much money for similar output. But Colt is extremely injury prone...that's a big problem (I guess I don't need to state to Skins fans, injuries are a big problem)
Definitely agree there. Even though the three you mention are considered in the bottom 3rd of QBs it will still take $10mil+ a year to sign them. For that you would probably get 1-2 more wins at best over a Colt McCoy, definitely not worth it. With a Keenum you would be spending around $40 mil total a year on the QB position and be lucky to win 6 games. Even the Redskin front office isn't inept enough to make that move.

The newest "trend" seems to be building a team around the rookie QB deal, Seattle ,Philly and LAR all did recently with huge success. The only problem is , our cap situation sucks for this season.

Colt, Johnson, and hopefully a first rd QB depending on how the draft falls.

That and do you have confidence in the front office and coaching staff to draft and develop a franchise type QB? The past history isn't a good one. That is why I say they may have to use multiple picks in back to back years to land one.

Re: What’s your plan for the Quarterback position?

I'm gonna say roll with Colt, Johnson, and draft one...if Murray was there at 15 I'd take him depending on how much they like him in interviews and if you truly believe he is committed to football, but I don't think he'll be there anyway. Part of me wants them to have a crappy season in hopes they blow it all up afterwards including Bruce, but certainly no guarantee that would happen then either.

Maybe another good thread would be What Do You Think They Will Do At Quarterback for this season? We all heard Bruce saying that "we're close"...which tells me they may not believe in drafting a QB with that 15th pick...but who knows. It seems they still have hope that Alex will be back at some point.

I think Lock is a Gruden type of QB and would be a good fit. There's some rumblings out there to that effect. Kid has an arm that's for sure.

Well he's here for 2019 and that's the system he'll be starting in.

Can't make decisions based on what may or may not happen down the road.

He's better than Josh Allen, probably not as good as Rosen but he's got a great arm for sure.

I even think he will get $10 mil+ a year in this market, too expensive with Smith's contract on the books.

Yeah this wouldn’t work....In order to get TB we would def have to have somethings go our way. One, we would need to have limited competition for his services...two, he would need to take a one year, bet on himself deal that’s team friendly.

The attraction for TB is finding an opportunity for a starting job in order to flip into a larger contract.

I believe there would be a chance to get him, but not a strong one.

Draft Jones or Lock (Haskins and Murray will be off the board unless we trade up -which I would not do for Murray). Let them sit as long as they can...

As a UCLA fan who watched lots of their games I don't think Rosen will amount to squat. If he even becomes an average NFL QB on the next time I vacation in upstate New York my girlfriend and I will happily treat your family to a nice dinner of your choice. No risk to you.
