Re: Giants-Redskins Gameday Thread

I can't believe im saying this....Shanahan must of did something to Rex Grossman over the offseason cause he's looking good....Sexy Rexy was doing work and I can't believe im saying this but here's a stat

Donnovan McNabb 39 Yards

Rex Grossman 305 Yards

Oh and you wanna hear the kicker in all this...The Media is still focused on Vick...His performance in the air was horrible today. I'm not saying Playoffs or anything for our skins but Rex seems to want it more...agreed?

I don't think that our LT is working out. That needs to be addressed, and pronto.

probably cause he's hurt and he shouldn't have been out there.

OL looked awful, WR drops were a bit eh, but everyone seemed to work around each other's faults and made it happen.

on track for 48 sacks... not good.

also, this wasn't the NYG's real defense, they're all on IR, so I'm still curious to see us pass on the jets or iggles.

our secondary gave up some big plays, but the front sevens looks great reserve NT wants a sack? how about two?

I'm not certain about this, but it seems that they were using more max-protection plays late in the game. This worked pretty well. Even when our OL was taking a shellacking, Grossman looked very collected in the pocket. As far as the drops - without reviewing them, I would say that was a result of hurried passes from the poor protection.

Giants did not look bad in coverage. They seemed to always be around the ball. Rex did a hell of a job under SERIOUS pressure.

Donnovan, who?

One underrated item was hightowers blitz pickup. Seemed like he stepped up a couple times there.

I saw that stat line last night and thought they pulled him for Ponder or he got hurt.

Nope...only 15 attempts!?!?!

Re: Giants-Redskins Gameday Thread

His scramble before the TD pass was awesome.

His fumble...that's our Rex. We should just accept he'll have one of those ugly plays every game, so the key will be going enough to make up for it. The drive following that was beautiful.

Jets seem to be making the best of a similar situation with Mark Sanchez. Its like you said, the key is doing enough good to make up for the wtf moments. Rex went way passed my expectations and Im sure that of many others, He really settled in nice. I'm happy.
