Re: Patriots Waive Haynesworth

Fat Albert never realized that his attitude has gotten him into trouble. The Patriots took a chance on him. Didn't risk much. Fat Albert's work ethic got him canned. The Patriots didn't put up with his crap. The book is out on Fat Albert. I'm not sure many teams would take a chance on him screwing up their locker room. That's why TO is still unemployed.

He's got no passion for the game. He's all about the paycheck, he got paid so he's just been coasting ever since.

Re: Patriots Waive Haynesworth

Even I can't totally believe it. Fat Albert was able to contribute less than a drafted special teamer would. (imo, a 5th round pick averages out to a backup who plays special teams)

In short, we were able to rip off the Patriots.

Blowing assignments for the stat sheet has been Haynesworth's motto even in Tennessee. Dude is full of it, and off the field, is a lying scumbag who paralyzed someone AND refused to pay back a loan of millions, among other things.

Re: Patriots Waive Haynesworth

Was Haynesworth at least in reasonable shape this season? Or was he more like the 2009 version of himself?

It's hard to 'rip off' a team that only gave a fifth rounder, but it sure looks like we won the McNabb and Haynesworth deals.

He was suspiciously absent from a good deal of training camp. But with Belichick being so tight on disclosing what's behind the doors, we can only make an educated guess.

I think this is a bit of a stretch. I'm just glad that the circus is gone and we got something in return for these two huge errors.

Re: Patriots Waive Haynesworth

The only thing that surprise me is that a genius like BB actually thought it was a good idea to trade a pick for this worthless piece of garbage. I'm not surprise at all that the Pats decided to pull the plug on this waste of space.

The three special teamers/olinemen or whatever other shots in the dark we draft from these players' respective trades don't need to contribute much to make more contributions than McNabb and Haynesworth. Just enough to beat out a half-season of almost nothing and another few weeks of bad QB play.

If the Iggles do sign him it will be interesting, if only because they'd catch hell from the philly fans & media for another 'Dream Team' signing.

Re: Patriots Waive Haynesworth

Some people just never learn:

Haynesworth got into a heated discussion with defensive line coach Pepper Johnson during the third quarter of Sunday's loss to the New York Giants.
