Re: NFL Draft Prospects Thread

Does anyone else think Carol Baskins would make a good tackle?

I could see some super slips at WR, Corner, interior OL and maybe even LB in the 3rd. I think the run at Tackles will happen in the second and I’m just not sold on the TE class. Just not, I think you could get equal quality of prospect in the fourth and fifth round. I don’t want to reach. I still like the guy from UCLA

He catches with his hands and he is faster than you think.

Re: NFL Draft Prospects Thread

What we need is more draft picks. By that I mean more draft picks without trading the #2 pick. That pick is reserved for Chase Young. I doubt that trading down would help much. The Trent Williams saga is such a mess I'm not expecting anything to get done on that front. So, as of today, I'm assuming that we won't get the quantity of players we'd like to have in this draft. Maybe we'll be able to get something done by trading for a player or picking up another FA on a one or two year contract..

We're on the same page on him. I hope he's at least an option for us in the 4th round.

Reminds me of a (young) Vernon Davis, maybe more Antonio Gates. Got some speed and agility for a big guy. What's his blocking like?

From what Ive read its solid. When I see him move, he reminds me of Jerome Bettis. For his size, he is extremely limber in his movement...not stiff anywhere. Also, what is eye opening is in his play on field he is a pure hands catcher...also catches in traffic. Natural run after the catch motion...

When I look at this TE prospects: a TE at Dayton...Dayton offense is high school like...the TE from Missouri, very little production. These guys are being talked about way too high.

Cole Kmet is the best prospect at TE...Hunter Bryant is a solid 3rd round prospect. But if you are taking Trautman, Okwuegbuanam, Hopkins, Moss in the 3rd round you are reaching big time. Too many better prospects early 3rd.

Lloyd Cushenberry III - Center LSU

Another 3rd round guy who deserves a look...I like Roullier, but Ive heard talk Roullier could compete at LG as a starter. Cushenberry is an unheralded player in a good class of interior Oline prospects.

Re: NFL Draft Prospects Thread

Yeah but that doesn't mean you can't upgrade, it's like any other position.. When we always say "Oh we have so and so at CB already" You have to take the best players at key positions. I think our line will surprise some though, if we can keep Trent and he actually shows up to play I'd be very happy.

Re: NFL Draft Prospects Thread

3 days until Thursday April 23, draft starts at 8 pm.

A really actual sports event ... kinda ... I bet the tv ratings beat the past Super Bowl.

We hungry.
