Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?

So it seems like Ron is serious when he talks about having more picks, a trade may not even happen but if it does I will be fine with it

Of course more picks would be nice but unless it's an insane deal we can't refuse it's not going to happen

I'll hate it if we don't take Chase Young. Nevertheless, I'm always going to be a Redskins fan and I believe that RR needs to be able to do what he thinks is best for the team, so I think I'll be able to support him if he trades the #2 pick. That is, as long as he doesn't get fleeced in the trade or trade the pick to a team in our division.

Like Matt was saying, I doubt they deal it unless it's well worth it. If a team really wants #2 they will throw in the ammo. If it's Miami then Simmons at 5 would be nice or LT. Then the other picks can be CB/WR. It'll be fun to see what happens

We better not over think this. I want at least 4 1st round picks over the next 3 years and at least 2 2nd round picks and 3 3rd picks.

"With one big trade done and final, could another one be on the way? The #Redskins have talked to multiple teams about a potential trade of LT Trent Williams, sources say. With the NFL Draft a day away, and a physical necessary, the clock is ticking Hourglass with flowing sand."

What does Rappaport mean by the bolded part? I can't tell if he's saying the trade for the #2 pick is done or if he was referring back to the Gronk trade.

All for #2? That isn't happening and it shouldn't. Neither Tua, Chase or whoever is worth that much.

Lies, lies, lies can't get a physical ask Gronk for the name of his Doctor. I'm guessing he makes house calls.

Yes I believe CY has the potential to be that good he still needs to put a lot of work in but the work ethic is already there JMO. So if we trade out of #2 and give up CY it's got to be worth it.

Totally agree, but in principle the trade offer has to favour us. If it's effectively an equivalency offer then there is less incentive to take it.

i.e. Your car is worth $1500 and you like it and someone offers you $1500 for it. Unless you have a need to sell (which we don;t) why are you parting with something you like for it's street value? If you get an offer for $1600 then you think hard about it and $2000 you probably say hell yeah and buy an equivalent car and come away $500 richer.

Any offer for #2 has to at least slightly over value the pick to give us incentive to do the deal. 2 x rd1's is not enough. 3 might be but I'd hold out for 4, given that barring a miracle any future pick from Miami is going to be mid round next year at best. I just don't see how Miami is that desperate given Tua could easily fall to #5.

I don't know ... I think our $1500 car has serious transmission issues, and we can't fix that. Therefore, our $1500 car just won't go for us.

The guy we can sell this too can fix that transmission and make it go for him.

I think that's more the reality in this picture.
