Zorn is responsible for the team but his coaches better get the fire lit under our players asses or everyone will be looking for a new job.
It was a run. A run in which the used the goal line offense bunching everyone up. Portis got stuffed. Does this team not take notes from other teams and what they do? Dallas had success spreading out their offense against the Giants. Spread the damn defense out and either play action pass or run the ball but stop the bunch formation. It's not working.

Well other than the fact that he's apparently unaware of the percentages:

I thought he raises some great points, as usual.

Well if it makes you feel any better, Detroit is not the worst team in the NFL this year. Thanks to the magic of NFL shortcuts I have been able to watch them play this year (and was, of course, subjected to the game yesterday). Peterson broke them off last week, but they looked competitive against Minnesota and much better than Washington did against St. Louis. Once Stafford gains consistency they will be a competitive franchise on a week-to-week basis. Maybe not this year, but they are headed in the right direction. Right now St. Louis, Kansas City, Tampa Bay, Cleveland, and Washington are all worse than Detroit. Luckily we play two of those teams head-up so it will be a fair competition for that first overall pick.

No kidding. I'd like to punch the next person who talks about how much "talent" the Redskins have.

Let's go back to some of our past QBs then put thing in perspective. Would you like to have Tony Banks, Jeff George, Danny Weurfel, Mark Brunell, Ramsey, Shane Mathews, Shuler, Frerotte, etc. Should I keep going?????

I'll honestly be happy for him when he leaves.
I'm not hugh on JC but he has been looking better other then scoring. He could end up being one of our bright spots this year. We then offer him a big deal then he goes back into suck mode.

There is no way the FO makes JC a big offer this season unless he puts up gaudy numbers by the end of the season (and that would probably mean we're getting blown out, based on the conservatism of Zorn's playcalling).

No, Jason is auditioning for a job elsewhere at this point. Resigning JC would provide one less patsy for Snyder to heap blame on and would make it harder to deny that the lack of a real GM is a huge part of the problem. Let the QB go along with the coach(es) and you've got a nice cadre of fall guys to act as meat shields from all the offseason criticism.

Man, what a way to spend about 200 bucks to see us lose to the Lions

What happened to getting hyped up during the game? None of the players seemed to try to and Bugel was the only one talking to a lot of players. Players were just walking the sideline sighing and shit.

really hard game to watch, we didn't earn the game even if those calls did come our way

They go through this patty cake training camp, bitch about injuries, dont practice, act like everything is hunky dory and this is exactly what you get. I can't even begin to tell you how much we deserve exactly what we got today. We are a **** embarassment, and we deserve it. I dont want to hear a god damn thing from Cooley about how they tried hard, about Portis on "how its gonna look pretty when the offense comes around"... you guys can go home tonight, to your million dollar homes and laugh straight to the bank. I can't tell you how embarassed I am to be a Redskins fan right now. If Zorn is fired, I dont care. It might be week 3 but I do not care, this team looks like absolute garbage and just lost to a team that has not won in 2 seasons. We honestly might go 1-15 this season. We're that bad.
Agreed; we looked like we didn't even want to be there honestly. Getting to see the players the whole time was even more telling than it looked on TV.

We need to stop playing with swiss balls and slip n slides and have Mike Singletary design us a dirt hill; I'm much with you on the notion that we act like babies early on in the year.

There were A LOT honestly. There always seems to be in Detroit, probably because it's nearly a guaranteed win and there are casinos and strip clubs round. Talked to Devin Thomas' father for a bit. Within high 5 range I had about 15 without having to move.
