Re: Our next coach??

To be honest i would like to see us either keep Zorn or at least get a HC that will stick around for 10 years or so. I dont want another old coach to come in for a year or too and then be back in the same boat as we are now. We need consistency in our coaching staff. I want a team that I can be proud of and that my kids can grow up to love just as I do not to be made fun of for supporting them

thats not word for word but pretty much what was said, i thought if a new team hired him denver would be off the hook, is this not the case?
anyone?

George Seifert........ really? This isnt the 90's...

Skins need a GM first, then have him pick a coach.

You do know that Zorn is not that young, right? I believe he is in his 50s (56 to be exact).

I'm just not a big fan of his. Not saying he's not a good coach, but he did walk away from the game on bottom. 4-12 in his last season shows he wasn't really into it, especially when he called his retirement a year earlier. Let's not forget they took his GM duties away in Seattle, and I just don't think he has the desire to win it all anymore. He really had a great career when with Favre (.670%), and not so well with Hasselbeck (.538%) and he had some really good teams in Seattle. My biggest point is that I just don't think Holmgren has the desire to make us winners again. The others I pointed out, IMO, do.

You certainly have a point, but considering Snyder isn't going anywhere, and his butt buddy Cerrato likely will still be around too, does this mean we just quit on bringing a qualified coaching staff in? We are all fairly certain Zorn is gone, so we should be getting a new coaching staff, but we do not know if our upper management will be here or not even though we can hope. Gotta still find the best, and HOPE Snyder / Cerrato suddenly have an epiphany.

I'd say Billick > Cowher, but I agree that a list of coaches who have already won the SB means we are looking for a savior in all the wrong places.

There's no shortage of qualified up-and-comers who can do the job, you just need the structure to be better than what Zorn had to deal with.

Dungy would politely decline, sounds like you don't know much of him as a person.

Re: Our next coach??

Danny needs to realize he is not Steinbrenner, and buying a team does not work in the NFL. He needs to run as fast as his little legs will carry him and pucker up as he never has. Open up that fat 'ol wallet, which is what he does best. Then hire Charley Casserly back. Give him 3-4 years and we are back to stay.
New coach?
New QB?
High Draft Pick?
They are all wasted with those who have absolutely no concept on who to choose and more importantly why.
If Vinny remains, "Mr Snyder, Sir?"
Danny, "Yes Vinny"
Vinny "Jahri Evans from the Saints is the most expensive OL on the market, can I have him, please please please."
Danny, "What about the other 4 lineman?"
Vinny, "all we need is Jahri?
"OK Vinny, here's my wallet"

Re: Our next coach??

The more I watch Stanford play the more I like Jim Harbaugh. They've killed 2 top 10 rated teams in back to back weeks, this guy could be the next great coach and has lots of NFL experience having been a player. He could be coaching next door to his brother in Baltimore next year. I hope so.

Re: Our next coach??

Jim Harbaugh has done a great job at Stanford, and they won't be able (most likely) to keep him more than another year. But he seems to be eyeing a bigger college program
