RGIII became even more impressive after the delusion of getting Peyton Manning finally wore off. I'm so surprised too, because so many experts around here had me convinced Peyton was chomping at the bit to kick his brother's ass twice a year and play for our Super Bowl winning coach.

That's a lot to pay for RGIII. I hope he pans out and I hope he doesn't mind us giving up so much to get him and doing so only after our first choice totally dissed us. #neverhadachance

This is wild. I'm excited but that is more than I hoped we'd give up. Here's to hoping our late round drafting is lights out.

I would give 3 1st rounders for Luck and no one else, no disrespect to RGIII.

Snyder has done it again, got the fans snagged on the hot sexy pick, hoping it will pan out. I think BA and Shanny are feeling the heat so they went against the plan to save their asses. I like RG III a lot, but 3 first rounders for a still unproven commodity at the NFL level is not wise.
I don't sense anyone in this thread is particularly happy with this trade. Even the ones who are going to by an RG3 jersey first thing Monday are doing so out of loyalty to the team, not because they think this is inspired.

Instead of using the 6th, you move up four slots and use the 2nd.

Sigh. It's like GTripp said, unless RG3 looks like the 2nd coming of Jesus in cleats the Rams will be the clear winner of this deal.

We both agreed on this and still do, BUT... What if Indy takes RGIII? Think it could happen?

Well, no need to watch the draft this year after #2...and the first round for 2013 and 2014.

Then we take Luck. Works out for us.

Couldn't three first and a second have gotten us Luck?

Re: What is the 2nd overall pick worth?
I'm telling you all the final trade will probably be

2012 1st
2012 2nd
2012 4th
2013 1st
2013 3rd

It's going to be a lot. Unlike the Manning for Rivers trade, there was only 1 team interested, the Giants. This year we have at least 3, Us, Cleveland, and Miami. = Price goes up.

That's robbery. Let someone else overpay.

I'm going to second GTripp on this one as well. Douchebaggery is nothing to be proud of.
