NFL Season Predictions 2019

All right f#ck faces, finally it’s here. Now that the preseason is essentially over, how do you see the league stacking up, who’s gonna win the division, breakout players, coaches, MVP, etc?

NFC East: Dallas
NFC North: Minnesota
NFC South: New Orleans
NFC West: Rams

Wildcards: Philly, packers

AFC East: New England
AFC North: Pittsburgh
AFC South: Jacksonville
AFC West: Chiefs

Wildcards: Browns, Colts

SB: Chiefs vs New Orleans, Andy get’s his SB

For the NFC, Dallas has a great roster and I like how the talent is spread across the team. BUT if Zeke doesn’t play, they don’t make the playoffs. Minny bounces back. I think the Rams take a step back, BUT that division is overrated. I could see San Fran making a slight push. Philly as a wild card is dangerous. New Orleans is my pick, but Brees health is pivotal, he looked a lil shaky down the stretch last year.

AFC: I think Jags defense is gonna bounce back and Fournette has got the message loud and clear from Coughlin showed up to camp in amazing shape. That front four in Jax is best in the league. Pittsburgh looks awesome in preseason. This is the year New England takes a step back, but wins because of a easy schedule. Chiefs division too lose. Browns is a lotta of hype, will flame out in playoffs...but talent gets them barely in. Colts defense is really good regardless of the qb issue, Frank Reich is a great coach.

Surprise teams...AFC: Buffalo will just miss playoffs, Jacksonville, Jets will be entertaining.

NFC: San Fran will play well just missing playoffs.

Teams taking steps back: Chicago Bears will be a .500 team, maybe. Texans will not take advantage of lucks injury. Seattle and Carolina Panthers will struggle to be a .500 team.

First coach fired...Matt Patricia

Who you got?

Re: NFL Season Predictions 2019

NFC East: Eagles 11-5
NFC North: Packers 10-6
NFC South: New Orleans 13-3
NFC West: Rams 12-4

Wildcards: Bears (10-6) , Seattle (9-7)

AFC East: New England 12-4
AFC North: Pittsburgh 11-5
AFC South: Houston 10-6
AFC West: Chiefs 12-4

Wildcards: Browns (9-7), JETS (9-7)

SB: KC , NO = Brees gets #2 and cements his legacy as a top 5 QB of all time.

Surprise teams = NFC - Redskins (9-7) Case has a better year than people think and the Defense is good, just not enough to make the playoffs.

Tampa (Look out for this offense)

AFC = Colts - People are writing them off but I still like this team and talent. They could easily make the playoffs again.

Jets (Playoff bound)

NFC Disappointment = Dallas - Finishes 9-7 but many believe they can make a SB run this season. I think the Offense will stay about the same as usual and it won't be enough to make the playoffs. Great Defense tho.

AFC = Chargers - Losing Derwin James is a MASSIVE blow, and I don't think the offense has enough firepower to win 10 games.

MVP = Russell Wilson after he carries an average Seattle team back to the playoffs.

DPOY = Aaron Donald again (best player in the world)

OPOY = Le'veon Bell - He will lead the Jets to a surprising WC birth and top 2000 total yards.

COY = Frank Reich for having a winning record after Luck retires 2 weeks before the season.

First coach fired = Jason Garrett after the season is over and they miss the playoffs.

Re: NFL Season Predictions 2019

I think the NFL goes topsy turvy this year:

NFC East: Redskins -- you all may not believe, but I do, Case will lead the way with play action and our RB trio. Plus YES we will stay healthy.
NFC North: Bears -- They are the team to beat in that division (until they aren't)
NFC South: New Orleans of course
NFC West: Rams -- I think they falter but still win the division

Wildcards: Minnesota -- I don't think KC can win in the playoffs but the team around him is built to get them there., Giants -- Eli will be driven to be the better Eli, and will surprise many.

AFC East: Jets -- Brady shows his age and the Jets turn an unexpected corner
AFC North: Browns -- the rest of the division is crumbling and last years ties turn to wins
AFC South: Houston -- Luck's retirement changed this division completely
AFC West: Chiefs -- they will dominate this year

Wildcards: NE (they fail in the first round), Pittsburgh
SB: KC vs NO KC takes it

Re: NFL Season Predictions 2019

I'm with CRed in that I think we can be competitive - staying healthy will make a huge difference. We were competitive last year with dreck at WR and a defense + ground and pound style. We can grind out 9-10 wins using this style if we just stay healthier.

But to win the NFC East we would need shit to go wrong in Philly and Dallas. Unless they have a lot of injuries or just shit the bed it's hard to see BOTH of them going less than 11-5. One of them surely will unless things all fall apart.

Re: NFL Season Predictions 2019

I wonder what some of you guys are basing your optimism on that are predicting the Redskins make the play-offs. Reality is this team finished the last season 1-6 after Alex Smith was injured. Also to normally make the play-offs takes a 10 win season. Jay Gruden as an NFL head coach best record is 9-7 in 5 years coaching the Redskins. To make the play-offs Gruden will need to have his best year ever. The draft class will need to make an immediate strong impact, players who finished last year injured will have to come back 100% and stay healthy, and Keenum or a green Haskins will have to play well behind a suspect O-line.

To sum it up we have to hit the daily double of Gruden's best year coaching and the best draft of the Allen years. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer but I think I have a better chance of hitting the lotto and I don't even play.

and Brandon Scherff and Trent and Paul Richardson and Crowder and Dunbar and Lauvao and Quinn and Reed and Christian and Cooper and our backup QB Colt McCoy who caused us to have to use bums like Mark Sanchez and Josh Johnson, but sure put it all on Alex Smith.

Sigh

Re: NFL Season Predictions 2019

I'm with Bob.
Grudens best offensive year(2015 Rank 10th ) was with Cousins throwing to Jackson, Garcon, and Reed with Alfred Morris running the ball. All of those players made the probowl at one point in their career so they could play.

This years team has their best player in Future HOFer at RB, Stud 2nd year player at RB, and best 3rd down/screen play pass catcher at RB. There is zero balance on this offense unless these WRs really step up and Reed gets healthy and stays healthy.

My Prediction:
Redskins start the first half 1-7 with Keenum then finish the back end of the season with Haskins going 4-4 against an easier schedule. They might even wait till after the Bye(Week 10) and let Haskins start his career against the Jets then Lions.

Re: NFL Season Predictions 2019

TW is gone. Our starting LT ended the last 2 seasons on IR. our LG is going to get our starting QBs killed.
Quinn and Prich haven't proven they can play 16 games.
Same stuff all over again.
