I'd take you over Manusky man. I'd take my uncle over Manusky at this point. And he doesn't know what a first down is. Nor a Dline. Nor anything football related. I just want change at DC.

Quality change would be great. But anything else than more of the same is better than more of the same.

Re: Defensive Coordinator thread

Everybody was ripping Bowles early in the season.

Players were adapting to a new system.

https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/teamdef/2019

#1 rush defense and #5 overall in the weighted category.

He is the real deal.

Yup...I was reviewing the rush defense stats the other day and noticed that. Bowles is a legit d coordinator but I don’t think he is hc material.

I think Tampa style of offense tho maybe manipulates the rushing d stat. Also the fact secondary in Tampa is terrible as well.

Re: Defensive Coordinator thread

Bowles ain't coming here. He saw just how fucked up our front office is when they tried to fire Manusky. They publicly hung Manusky by the nuts and then said.. "my bad no one any good wants this gig so you're still our dc."

Coaches talk. They all see this is a bad place to work and you only come here to get paid.

Re: Defensive Coordinator thread

I am really impressed with how the Ravens back seven play and are coached. Their secondary and LB’s know how to play the zone and break off to man at the right moment. Great scheme. That is the key and major problem with shitty defenses and ours. Plus shitty tackling. Those are easy things to fix. Just need the right teachers.
I was also impressed with GWilliams defenses when he was here. I also like Todd smoke some Bowles. You see the players in their defenses are doing the right things and are in the right place. Simple.

Ohno. Say it ain't so. Players unhappy with Manusky's scheme?

Nobody could've seen this coming.

We are a shitshow from the top down.

That one always baffles me. I see NFL players doing things that would earn a High School kid an ass chewing. My favorite pet peeve is guys who launch themselves into a ball carrier while trying to make an open field tackle without wrapping their arms around the guy.

Yep. The other is they try to punch the football out instead of tackling. It is the selfie generation that wants to be in a highlight reel making a big play instead of making the routine tackle.

Re: Defensive Coordinator thread

From Sheehan on Twitter....this gets me so fuckin angry:

On game today & more: Not all NFC East games are as "close" as Coach Cal insisted early this wk. Sweat showed life. Harmon, Sims Jr, & McLaurin next yr. Hentges. #Redskins finished w/worst 3rd-down D for 2nd time in 4 yrs. This year's 48.89% is worst in league last 7 seasons

That’s fuckin horrific...
