Tom Brady Officially Retires

It's official. The GOAT deserves his own thread.

I used to dislike him but after he won the SB with Tampa Bay, my opinion changed as he has my huge respect. Definitely one of greatest QBs to play in NFL history.

That sucks. Dude still is at the top of his game. I get the feeling that Gisele is nag and kept bugging him about it.

Glad he stepped away on top. Amazing career.

Getting that Tampa championship solidified a lot with him, he had nothing else to prove.

I think the biggest memory will be the SB vs Atlanta. The comeback

Colts Va Pats rivalry with Brady Vs Manning…always must watch

Re: Tom Brady Officially Retires

Gotta admit I was hoping he'd keep playing.

He's truly the GOAT.

Not the greatest arm, not the greatest scrambler or runner, but the greatest decision maker at the QB position we may ever see. We were lucky to watch it. Congrats Tom...have a drink and a cheeseburger now.
Side note...anybody else wish he waited until tomorrow to say it to help cover up the laughing stock of our new name?? Maybe it's just me.

If it makes you feel any better nobody outside of our little Washington bubble is going to care much about the name. Sure there will be jokes and memes initially as with anything, but that will fade quickly and it will be business as usual in no time.

You're exactly right, it will. Just another blip in the news before the wave of Super Bowl coverage. In between the jokes of our new name, I'll still enjoy the memes of Joe Burrow and Kevin from Home Alone

Anyone think he will be a unanimous first ballet HOFer???(joke) he gave me two of my best resent memories in football(him and Eli). I was glade to see him be successful in Tampa .No doubt GOAT now as someone else said go have a cheeseburger and a beer.

The greatest QB to play the game imo. Hated the guy bc of the Pats success and the way they did it. I do think it was shitty to have your ball boy take the balls into the bathroom stall to deflate them AFTER the league inspected them ... but I respect him and his dedication.

He is on that MJ level.

That game was insane, and solidified him as the goat IMO

Re: Tom Brady Officially Retires

Is there any real argument he's the GOAT? Started twice as many SB's as Elway (nearest), holds pretty much every significant passing record, right now has more SB appearances and wins than any coach (or owner?), and the played longer than any non-kicker. And he's married to a supermodel (that alone should get him in )

I've never hated him (always say you can't truly love or hate someone you don't really know) just respected what he's done on the field. I strongly doubt until medical science advances to the point we're effectively immortal, anyone else will come within touching distance of what he's done. Question now is what he does next. He'll probably be the GOAT of that too!

Smart move to walk away while you can still walk away!

Congratulations!

Brady is legitimately the best ever.
