Yet they gave the MVP to a player on offense in a game that totaled 16 points. Plenty of hate from the NFL IMO.

Well, they did give up 154 rushing yards. Wade was very good but not great. They were run on all year.

Holding the Pats to 13 wasn't great? I strongly disagree. Wade was great.

Saints avg 32 pts per game reg season...held them at home 23

New England avg 27 per game reg season...held them to 13

IMO, this squarely fell on McVay and Goff...they lost it

He’s getting a ring

The Pats didn’t cut him he’s currently suspended by the league

People sure do hate a defensive game. It was much better then a blowout. The commercials suck and the 1/2 time show was Ok at best.

Re: Super Bowl LIII Patriots vs Rams

The NE Patriots continues to draft well...but if you look closely they don't re-sign most of their players beyond their rookie contract.....the only exceptions are Brady, Gronkowski, Hightower, Devin Mcourtey, and Edelman.

They sign very few free agents...but the ones they do sign are impactful.

.....and they continue to maximize the best out of their draft picks before their rookie contracts are up...

....and their mainstays for their never ending sucess has been Belichik and Brady....these things are the primary reasons why they haven't had a losing season since the year 2000(5-11)....

Re: Super Bowl LIII Patriots vs Rams

This is how you can tell McVay was taken behind the woodshed and handed his ass. (in terms of coaching)

Quote:
The Patriots ran man coverage 62% of snaps this season, the highest man rate in the NFL. Yesterday in the Super Bowl, the Patriots ran man 10% of plays. 90% zone. Completely changed their scheme and caught Goff completely off-guard
https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comment...of_snaps_this/

BB essentially stole the game plan from his former DC Patricia from the game the Lions whupped the Rams this year.

HOW WAS MCVAY NOT READY FOR THAT??

In these big playoff games, you can always expect BB to do the exact opposite of what he normally does. Pederson expected last year and came out on top. McVay was caught completely off-guard and it showed big time. He didn't put Goff in a good situation to succeed.
