Any Chance Bartel gets any playing time?

With the season being a lost cause and many players out on IR...is there any chance at all that they let Bartel play?

I'm not saying play the whole game, but with only having 4 games left i wonder if he will get to play in the 4th quarter, etc...

I think we need to see what he can do because I'm sure next year there will be a QB battle between Campbell (if he is here) vs whoever. Colt will be in the mix too, so i wonder if they will use this chance to take a look at Bartel.

Thoughts????

barring injury, no way. i think the redskins organization really isn't sure about what they are going to do with Campbell yet. these last 4 games will probably decide his fate

I doubt it. They're getting a chance to look at him during the week in practice. Barring injury, they won't activate him to play QB

Not a chance. Campbell is playing as well as any QB in the league in the last 6 weeks. Yes, I was actually comparing him to Phillip Rivers this morning when setting a fantasy lineup and Campbell has even outplayed Rivers recently. He's making strides and helping develop the younger WRs, TE and RBs for next year and is important to keep in there for that reason. We need to concentrate on the future and that appears to be Thomas, Kelly, Davis, possibly Ganther and maybe Mason unless we pick up a solid, young complementary back to Portis to split with him next year...if he's back.

If Bartel had been starting all season instead of JC, we'd be 12-0.

Re: Any Chance Bartel gets any playing time?

outside of catastrophic injuries at the QB spot, Bartel will play as much as Colt this regular season.

Re: Any Chance Bartel gets any playing time?

Campbell is literally on fire right now IMO. I doubt they put him in, it'd almost be pointless to, too. The only thing I could see them running now is some trick plays and stuff, but I thought they would have done that last year too which they didn't, so we'll have to wait and see.

Personally I want to see Campbell in there, the line is finally doing their job or so it seems, our backs are running well, Campbell is going through all his reads. No need to fix what isn't broken.

I'd rather finish 7-9 than 3-9.

Re: Any Chance Bartel gets any playing time?

I would not bet on a Colt Brennan-Richard Bartel quarterback battle happening next year. I also would not bet on a Tom Brandstater-Chris Simms quarterback battle.
