do rookie contracts allow signing extensions before the end of year 3? or is it the end of year two?

It's the Texans currently. From what I understand, Kyle Shanahan still has some pull with that organization. It may cost us our 2015-2017 first rounders along with Griffin, but I think we can swing it...maybe.

Under new CBA, only after year 3.
