Good question. Usually they are on the local basic channels, not csn. I think, in the DC area they are usually on the GW or whatever (formally WB?).

Re: Gameplan vs Bills:Vanilla or Butter Pecan?
I think it will be our new vanilla, which some in previous years might have been called butter pecan.

This sounds a little bit like butter pecan, but only because we were out of vanilla

Re: Gameplan vs Bills:Vanilla or Butter Pecan?
Good article on Griffin's progress:
Even RG3 subjected to a learning curve - Washington Times Here is a speculative thought on my part, maybe wishful thinking as much as anything. The two reports I have been hearing are that Griffin is holding the ball too long, and that the Skins are running a lot of designed run plays. Both of which don't thrill me. But, they also say Griffin is purposely holding on so he can go through his progressions. Now for my masterful observation: Since they don't want Griffin running during a pass play, they are giving him extra designed runs to help him get the feel of scrambling against NFL defenders. BRILLIANT! |

Bruce Allen was on moving the chains last night, when asked about all the designed runs and stuff he basically said they are experimenting with a lot of different things right now, he said that's what camp is for. Once the season starts that's when the experimenting ends.

I think Zorn's vanilla looked like more of a steamy brown pile of sh$%^&*(t.

I do know that the NFL Network is doing some "live look-ins" on Thursday night, so maybe I'll be able to catch some live RG3 before Friday afternoon. I'll be leaving work early this Friday for the replay, that is for sure. |

Re: Gameplan vs Bills:Vanilla or Butter Pecan?
Personally, I would err towards not showing any of the new stuff that involves Griffin running.
(a) The surprise factor would be diminishesd and (b) right now the OL is kinda a mixed bad right now and some of the zone-read stuff is dependent upon good protection; don't want to see Griff take any unnecessary hits. But still use the RB elements of the new concepts. For example they could calls some designed RB runs from the pistol and shotgun. The still have to rep the concepts against a live defense. Passing game/offense: o I want to see Griff execute the offense from under center. looking to see good clean footwork with the ball out on time to the correct receiver I would like to see a couple of 5 step drop passes on rhythm and hit a couple/few of the litmus test arm strength throws: skinny post/bang 8, deep dig, deep comeback Basically I want to see him Griff grip it and rip with confidence and velocity I want to see the offense move at a good tempo and have a clean game (penalities, delay of game, uneccesary time outs etc.) |

Re: Gameplan vs Bills:Vanilla or Butter Pecan?
I'm excited for our game against the bills, because we get to see Trent Williams on Mario Williams and Mark Andersons speed rush around the edge burning all our RT's. It'll be a great test for RG3 and to see how well he is at an nfl game of escaping from the pocket/getting away from the the pass rushers.
