Bledsoe to Replace Testaverde as Cowboys' Starting QB

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/column...len&id=1997592

Although Testaverde wasn't awful, Bledsoe is a much better starting QB and if the Cowboys get thier hands on a quality reciever, their offense could be potent. Bledsoe, Julius Jones, Jason Witten, Terry Glenn, Keyshawn Johnson, and Quincy Morgan could pose match-up problems for a lot of teams.

Makes sense for the Cowboys. Definitely an upgrade over Vinny.

Re: Bledsoe to Replace Testaverde as Cowboys' Starting QB

so what's the deal with these talks coming before the free agency period starting or is it that there isn't any talk allowed between a player and a team if the player is under contract somewhere else? cuz if we could already be talking to players or agents, shouldn't they have started trying to make some verbal agreements a couple weeks ago?

I think as long as a player isn't under contract with someone they can talk with teams.

I want to say we did it last year with someone, can't recall who though.

Cowboys getting better. Aww Drew Beltsow sucks ass. He is terrible. THere's reason why the bills got rid of him. I'm not gonna loose any sleep over this. Hell i'm gonna throw a party, cause it means the Cowboys still don't have a quaterback.

He might give them a servicable year or two, bu he is in no way the answer for them in the long haul. They actually need to draft a QB.

Bledsoe is nothing to worry about. But this does set up a great betting opportunity for Skins vs. Cryboys. Who'll fall down more during each game, Bledsoe or Ramsey? Over/under on sacks per game should be through the roof, too.

Don't forget in Buffalo Bledsoe was right there with Ramsey year before last in sacks. They didn't protect him worth a damn. He's immobile but will kill you if he gets time.

A big part of Bledsoe's sack problems are squarely on him. I'd bet even if he played with the Redskins line of '91 that only gave up 8 sacks he would find a way to get dumped 20 times.

He just holds the ball too damn long.

Bledsoe is a floater and a stick figure in the pocket. He is just as washed up as Brunell.

I wouldn't go that far, Bledsoe can still throw for more than 100 yards a game. LOL

Re: Bledsoe to Cowboys/cowboys new quarterback (merged)

I live in Texas and the people here are laughing at this one....saying Parcells is stuck in a time warp with these ancient QBs. The media here in Texas said this move hurt Parcell's credibility, he leans on what he knows instead of taking a chance on younger players. Drew can be easily rattled and we have the defense to do that. Don't give the Super Bowl trophy to the Cowboys just yet they have lots of holes to fill on their team, the BAD news they were $20 million UNDER the cap before they signed Drew ..........here is the Cryboys shopping list:

defensive tackle, defensive end, a cornerback (oh oh not Smoot), safety, a few blockers, and a fast wide receiver...............
