I literally went, "who the fck is Jake Rogers?" Apparently he's a punter. When did that move happen?

safety, RT, OG. could go DL too since hatcher et al are old. DL depth is pretty decent, but i don't think there's a starting RT for us at our spot. so i think we'll grab a 1st round safety that falls or grab a DL guy in all likelyhood. i'd be fine with an OG as well.

Re: The post major FA moves Draft Thread

Trade 2nd round pick down to middle of second round, picking up extra mid-third rounder (trade value chart supports this)

Then:
2 OT Antonio Richardson
3 FS Terrence Brooks
3 C Travis Swanson
4 ILB Chris Jones
5 RB De’Anthony Thomas
6 TE Richard Rodgers
7 CB Andre Hal

Nice plan Lotus.

Now that we have fewer holes, I'm a fan of best player available. I'd also be OK with reaching a half-round for the best safety available.

A NT at #34 would be great. Dominique Easley or perhaps Stephen Tuitt if he falls. Probably not any Free Safeties available at #34 will be worth taking at that spot. Pryor and Clinton-Dix will be taken in the 1st, and Terrence Brooks, while the next best available, isn't worth the #34 pick. Could take SS Jimmie Ward, but we already have Meriweather, Rambo, and Thomas there. Before we signed DeSean Jackson, I was hoping for a WR in the 2nd, but that's out of the picture now.

2nd: NT Dominique Easley EDIT: I accidentally put Tuitt here at first; while that would be great, he probably doesn't fall to #34

3rd: OT Joel Bitonio

4th: CB Rashaad Reynolds

5th: WR Michael Campanaro

6th: FS Dontae Johnson

7th: TE Colt Lyerla

Good plan. Better a half-round early than a pick too late.

Personally I prefer Chris Jones. He may be better than Skov in coverage and we need that skill in an ILB.

I would target him if he makes it to the 3rd, our current ILB's are average at best, coming back from injury and/or suited for ST's play. Skov is a smart player, a leader and can play, he would be the perfect successor to Fletcher. How many players in the NFL can say they learn how to play football in Mexico.

Reynolds would be a good one. He takes great angles and is a nice open-field tackler, two things we could definitely use in our secondary.

Re: The post major FA moves Draft Thread

I still want Dri Archer on this team to make opposing defenses shit on themselves.

The idea of RG3, Garcon, Morris, Jackson, Archer, Reed, and Roberts. that is scary fast and skilled.

With the additions of Akeem Jordan, Adam Hayward, and Daryl Sharpton, ILB just isn't as big a need as it was a month ago. Akeem Jordan is a capable starter, and Keenan Robinson maybe could start as well if he stays healthy; throw in Hayward and Sharpton as backups/special teamers, and you have a solid group. If Skov or any other ILB is the best player available, I'd say take them. But we certainly won't be reaching.

And I'm still with you on drafting a fast, versatile weapon, whether it's Archer, De'Anthony Thomas, Marion Grice, or maybe even Henry Josey. Doubt we'll reach for any of those either, though. We have a potentially explosive offense already, so we probably won't draft any of those guys. If Chris Thompson and Helu stay healthy, there wouldn't really be any need for another one anyway. But that's a big "if".
